FWIW, mines a 440, but a shaker base plate only needed a slight bend to "accommodate". As far as the hood brace in my '69, there's just a hint of love..... Rather than cut hood bracing, one could fab 1/4" spacers to lower the K-frame and gain a bit of clearance.

Looks like a lip on the old lamp? Have a press or access to one? Maybe expand the metal similar to the old one (bulge a bit), then find/use a grommet to secure it.

Absolutely! It was a night and day difference even for my HF cutter. If you know a toolmaker they can probably sharpen that worn cutter for you.

Thanks Steve. That '69 looks like it needs some hinge section repair. If I had time and mean I think I'd take ya' up on it. I'm strapped with the daughter's wedding coming up and other (med) issues. Don't feel the need to hold it for me.

I had a '67 set on mine till I found a '69.... Lol, A beak hood is a little tougher than a flat hood to attach a six pack scoop to. But the inserts on the earlier would surely make it a bit more challenging.:D

Outside the box, maybe check the nut minor diameter with a known drill bit size? approximately .328"-- .350" likely 7/16" .375" - .400".......1/2" .354"- .377"........M12

Thanks' for the responses! It is in varying degree for some of the heavier spots. Doesn't seem deep, but it's there and can be felt with finger nail so I'm sure it's more than it seems. I think I'm destined to be doing some strip mining in these spots. A close up.............

Lol, before I started to strip down the white on this nose anyone could see it had issues. Of course they were just the tip off of what lies beneath ....... Starting to show it's spots........... The backside had a wax film that came off easy with MS and no evident pops or rust bleed...

Sounds like the hood striker holes are too far to passenger side and pushing it to the driver side. Can you "tweak" the striker 1/4" in a vise?

If this inner bracing is what your looking for I think you'll need to find a donor or fabricate it.....

Didn't some folks adapt (or trying to) the '15 Dart (or similar) tails to the '69 tail panel?

Not sure the one I have laying around is a '67. It has a matte black colored covering that is stapled on the edges for the interior. It's not a smooth covering but has a light texture to it. Looks like a matte black coating on the backside, maybe a water resistant product, I don't think it's...

Plastic vs. metal and shape. The earlier grilles/surrounds will not fit the '69 header or vice-versa. If by chance it is what you are leading up to, one can fit an earlier setup on a '69. You'll need the earlier hood, header, and grilles/surrounds I do believe.......

When at rest, can you push the passenger side down or is it firmly on the height stop bumper?
