The bolts will be the same thread/size as the one that held the trans to the engine. Length will depend on the depth of the claw that will be bolted to the rear of the engine.

I use Grade 8 bolts. Ace Hardware, Lowes, Home Depot should have them.

Why isn't the power brake booster plumbed directly to the vacuum port on the intake manifold? The "sharing" seems odd to me.

Carbon on the piston tops could've been from a test run at the rebuilders. Hard to tell for sure, but it looks like the cross hatch is gone too. It's a coin toss.
