    Make sure your filter is new, I don't think the tank stuff worked very good but the tecron I hear is good, I would try a heavy dose. Also what worked on my wifes crv was a quart of trans fluid to a tank of gas.

    You do need to use your judgement. Best thing about HF they will take anything back and actually a lot of there tools are just fine for the weekend shade tree mechanic.

    I'm a month or so away from redoing the hood blackout with SEM trim black with that HF $10 gun. The blackout that was done in 1980 on my 71 demon is not correct so I figure WTH. I just got the gun stand and paper filters today.

    all the above is good info, also that motor should have a start capacitor check for loose connections or posibly a bad capacitor.

    yes the fan itself should be tethered to something other than the box it is mounted to. Also I would use blue loctite on any screws holding the fan blades.

    If you crank up the heat to work then shut it off the temp fluctuation will make all the cold metal sweat in the winter including the engine block! Best to put in a furnace and keep it running in the winter say at 50 degrees then kick it to 68 or so when your in there working. Need to insulate...
