That's why I went with Nitto, seems most were getting 10 to 20k out of them. They don't hook as well as M/T or other drag radials but they will go longer than 3k !! I don't have hi HP so the Nittos work great! These tires also hold air great, mine have not lost any Psi since spring.

Lot of tire company's are not making much in 14" size . That's the main reason to go to 15's

Ok I usually will bring it up to 2,500 to 3k, then mash the pedal to the floor. I run a mechanical 6 pack with about 1,100 cfm. I get a few revolution of spin in the tire but it hooks hard with no bog and I'm gone!!!

Night and day, a /6 duster could pull a few car lengths on me if I nailed it to the floor! I do have a 4,400rpm dynamic converter in it.

So how did it do? i don't think the nittos are best for that HP they last a lot longer than the M/T etc.. they are great on my demon with about 400 hp, on the street.

I would just be worried about the psi build up as the tire heats up, wouldn't want a blow out at high speed!

Nitto drag radials! Why build a strong running car just to have it spinning it's tires going No where !! I prefer to load up my converter and take off like I was shot out of a cannon!

Go for it if your going for the stock look, problem is 14" Rims are tough now to get decent tires if your performance minded.
