Not to hi-jack this thread, but hopefully I'll be done with my TTI oddessy on my `68 Barracuda this weekend. I'll have a full photo essay on the entire miserable, frustrating, gut wrenching experience..... But they do look & fit great. Once they're in....

I'd say offer less than $5K, but don't walk away..... these cars are not getting any cheaper or easier to find. It's a factory V-8, 4 Spd, w/ AC. What more do you want? So what if it's not an S. Plus it seems like a solid car to begin with. Like others have mentioned, crawl under it and check...

Great installation thread Dave! They look like a good alternative to TTI's.... And as for the open headers, if you get pulled over just point out the next SUV that rolls by with 24" wheels and an 8 million watt stereo pumping out pure crap and ask why THAT'S ok? :-D

Cut that puppy in half, rotate it 180 degrees, and mount it to your pinion snubber mount. Now it looks like a better rear driveshaft safety hoop! I perfer the floorpan mounted hoops. The one that hangs off of the crossmember just looks like a harmonic vibration waiting to happen on a highway...

My TTI system is in transit as we speak (I hope....). I'm looking forward to seeing (and touching....)them REAL soon. Although I'll probably break in the engine with the old POS Hookers since I don't want to chance burning the finish. I knew I was buying them for 4 months but it took me forever...
