Just started to rebuild my brother's power steering pump when I noticed that the reservoir housing is crushed under the bracket. Looks like somebody used a pry bar to tension the belt. This a small TRW pump with the solid pump shaft.

I'm getting ready to rebuild a Federal style power steering pump. I suspect that the pump shaft has a wear ring at the front seal. Does anybody know if there is a Speedi-Sleeve available for a quick repair? I've had great success with these on differential pinion seal leaks.

I started with the front adjuster all the way out and the rear all the way in. Since I had postive camber, I only adjusted the front to get -0.5* camber. By George! I think I've got it! Thanks everyone for your help. I'll get the bushings installed correctly and then make myself a pair of turn plates and be done with this alignment stuff.

Ok. I think I have a grip on this. When I install the bushings correctly, I will effectively be lengthening the front of the Control arm and shortening the rear arm.

I'm sorry that I'm having difficulty with this concept. Isn't the first picture, right front, showing that the offset is moving the control arm out towards the fender? The offset on the right rear would move the control arm inward towards the engine.

Stock front wheels. 1" torsion bars. Bilstein shocks. Ride height slightly higher than stock to offset some extra rear height from 1+ springs. All other components stock. Rubber bushings.

Looks like I 'm going to unbolt the upper control arms and take a look at the bushing install. I'll post results afterwards.

I guess that I could unbolt the upper control arm and post pics of what the bushings position looks like. Will I need to pop the upper ball joint?

I installed them a long time ago but I specifically followed instructions on FABO and to the best of my knowledge put them in as per recommendations and not the box instructions.

Thanks RedFish. I have a retaining clamp to put on after the column is installed. I also went ahead and ordered a new upper bearing yesterday. It was in pretty good shape when I worked on the column before but I'm sure it's trashed now.

The reason I'm wondering about the lower mounting plate position is that I removed the steering column for this car myself. Length was not a problem when it was in the car. During my restoration of the column, I was careful not to hammer on the shaft.
