Do you think this will buff out?

Pulled the Slant 6 from my 71 Swinger. The seller said that #6 was a little low on compression. lol I have a 318, and everything necessary to do the swap. I think. Engine, trans, motor mounts, V8 K member, rear trans mount, and torsion bars, V8 ignition and distributor, drive shaft...

Well, I though I have, but evidently I was wrong. lol! SO, as things stand right now, the plan is to stay with the slant. EFI, centrifugal supercharger, build the 904, but, stay with full auto mode ( no reverse manual valve bodies or any of that nonsense). Also retain the column shifter. 8-3/4...

Do you recall the info they needed when you ordered it? For example, did you have to supply measurements, over all, spring perches, shock mounts, etc?

Thanks, Bruce. I've been passively looking for a couple of years now. Rob (Rusty Rat Rod) has occasionally been sending me leads on cars that he comes across, here and there. That alone kept my interest in doing another car. This one was completely unexpected. I found it on Facebook at a site...

I'm OK with the small pattern, most of the stuff I have from my other 71, and my 72 are all small BP, too. If I decide to swap out the fronts for Disc brakes, that will probably change though. How does that Moser treat you? I actually consider a Moser down the road.

I'm still undecided. I've had so many V8 cars, including a Hemi RR that I bought new in '68, a 69 440GTX, and a number of V8 "A" bodies... even a 71 Swinger that I put a 426 Hemi in back in 1974. I haven't had a Slant car since the mid 60's lol... This car is a low optioned slant car with a...

All the emblems and trim pieces are in the trunk. The two long trim pieces that run from the front wheel wells to the rear are inside the car. Everything's there. I'm not sure how much of it I'm going to use, but I do know I want to reinstall the emblems.

Found it in Jesup, Rob. Just what I was looking for, no vinyl top, 1971, body work done.

The body and the upholstery are done. Needs carpet, bow headliner, and the dash can use some TLC. Except for seats ( which I don't need), headliner and carpet, I have an entire blue interior, and an entire black interior. including steering columns, dash, package tray, side panels, door...

Two options. Opt. #1: Pull the drive train, and replace it with the 390, 727, 8-3/4. Opt. #2: Stay with the slant, and 904 ( beef both up a little). swap the 8-3/4 in, and redo the slant with Centrifugal supercharger, fuel injection.

Pick this up yesterday.. 1971 Swinger, Slant 6, 904, 7.1/4. Waiting patently is a 390 stroker, a 727, and 8-3/4 Sure Grip. That said, I'm considering EFI and a centrifugal blower on a Slant 6, with the 904, and the 8-3/4. Strictly for the street, though, and for local car shows.

Father son 73 dart swinger restoration. (making it a 71 clone)

IMO the 1971 was the best year for the Dart. It had the right grill, the right side markers, the right tail lights. The 72 grill is good, too, but not as good as the 71, and the 72 and later side markers are sort of stuck onto the fenders, instead of flush like the 70 and 71. I also like the...

Rick, I noticed the blue firewall, and how well it matches the interior, obviously the car was painted at one time. What's your plan for it? Be concise!
