I say carburetor myself . My 70 duster that I bought last year had been sitting a long time and I replaced the tank. The main jet in the carb clogged twice after first getting it on the road and has been fine since and it acted just like yours is doing. Very simple fix take off the float bowl...

I'd go for an LS motor in it myself

Mine is the original one , I just cleaned it out with gumout spray

If it were mine I would go with 2 1/2 pipe all the way back and bolt a fart can muffler to it , just to piss the jap cars off

Did you pull the dipstick out to see if they had put oil in ?

Have you changed the theromostat ,if it worked fine then went bad that's where I would start ?

I run only Mobil-1 in all my engines , 340 dart, chevy truck , 1985 Kawasaki 900 eliminator , Riding lawn mower , push lawn mower. I would run it in my Toyota too but the dealer takes care of the oil changes per the lease. And I put it in a smaller bottle and use it on all my guns

The orange box is designed for 5500 max. learned that after burning numerous ones up in my 340 , upgraded to a chrome box and all is well

I have had great luck repairing pans with a gas torch , never had one leak. And while you are at it use the torch to heat up the spot you want dented in , then tap lightly

There's always running an adapter and a holley 2 barrel . Either the 350 or 500cfm

I went thru your photo gallery and have found your problem. Those big fuzzy dice you have hanging from the rear view mirror are flexing the car body and kinking the fuel line

Had the sock filter clogged just enough that it would run fine for 10 minutes or so then start running out of fuel , then let it sit and it would drive for 10 minutes again , had to baby a car home that way before. Mine was on an old slant 6 diplomat that was just a to and from work beather...

I had an old car that kept doing that to me , ended up being a clogged sock filter on the fuel line pickup.

I wouldn't blame this on bad gas .
