Just saw this. I came up with several brackets to install the aftermarket P/S pump. The most efficient and strongest is the one piece bracket. The one piece reduces flex, keeps the pump tucked closer to the engine, and adds needed access for A/C lines when using the HDK A/C compact compressor...

I have a new small block 360 Kevco pan. Only used to see how it fit a HDK. PM me if interested.

I moved my A/C mock -up assembly yesterday....lightweight compared to the boat anchor OEM piece. Wish I could loose weight and look good that easy.

sure...I can supply source and numbers of the components. The only thing I have not finished up was the belt # and the custom A/C lines.....I plan on that with the final install. Priorities! I do have a P/S bracket to go with the battery tray. The A/C lines are too custom and I always make mine...

sure...several have bought just the A/C brackets / idler pulley.....$129 shipped (in the USA)

Cast / steel heads. Look like a factory head. I bartered for the engine, owner bought the car for the body and a 528 Hemi install ...so he knows less about it than I do.

What is a good plug to start with for a 408?....10:1 compression. Lumpy (don't know specs) hydraulic cam. Might be over carburated....thinking 750 cm Eldelbrock. Thanks in advance for any input. Denny

no notching for the A/C compressor. The notch you see in the frame-rail by the rear A/C compressor ear is to accommodate the Hemi motor plates when I was mocking up the Hemi for the Flash.

ooops, just saw this, sorry for the late reply. likely depends on if you have the needed amount of grooves. I have a very limited selection of pulleys and had to buy what you see. BTW, I bought the h-flow version crankshaft pulley for A/C application. the CVF are factory replacement pulleys...

A/C compressor fits sweet under the battery tray. I'll make an optional water pump bracket to locate the P/S pump higher and inward so the P/S pump can be installed....... with or with out the battery tray

thanks for the question. I emptied the HDK test mule out today and will install the engine w/ my dummy trans / and K in the morning....I'll add a battery tray and see what we got. from there, the combo will go on my run stand to check for leaks before it gets broke down for a fresh paint job on...

While I do not presently have an A body with a battery tray to test ,...by comparing the location of the crankshaft pulley with the compressor, I would say the compressor will clear just fine.

HemiMark version .....Mark is not running a conventional small block water pump and using the lower water pump mount attaching point is difficult. on this picture you can see the banana hole for the adjustment of the (not installed) idler

From initial measurements, in factory form, yes, the tray and battery would likely need relocated. It is not the battery that is so much the offender, is the tray. If set on leaving the battery up front, maybe shorten the tray. I notice the tray appears over-sized with today's physically...

I don't see any reason why not, no depth issue and the early A is only 5/8" narrower per side than the later A bodies
