unfortunatly....no.....IMO, the full conversion is the only way to get max clearance. In the early A body, the additional room gained by the rack vs steering box / linkage in a B/RB install is big......making the install mega easier. another big advantage is the rack conversion offers the use...

Looks like some looooong primary tubes.....partial fenderwell? If this is going to be a street ride, you might want to rethink the slip connector, through mufflers, they will likely leak like a siv. I admire your gumption, IMO, this install has a degree a difficulty of 15 on a scale of 10...

Yes, you are correct. But he (Schumacher) has to make a new version (drivers side only) specifically for the HDK perches. Makes it easy...and cheap to swap to a small block, big block or Gen III Hemi down the road....if so desired. One K....many motors.....that's the way we roll.

no worries....with the HDK, tell me where you like the car height....and what diameter tire you are using and I can put it right where you want it. done it MANY times. Schumacher / HDK poly mounts for a slant 6 available this winter. Denny

that is really a shorty....reminds me of what they ran on the Pro stock cars in the early 70's when they still utilized the K frame and wanted very limited, if any, travel.

I see you are changing the upper shock mount....if you raise the upper attaching point, you should be in good shape to achieve the desired 12" spring.

maybe this information will help....maybe not not sure how you are gonna fit a 12" in there...kinda limited on space. I find the QA1 #DS 303 works best on the HDK (coil only) conversion. I do cheat the upper and lower mounts out slightly for coil clearance and you can gain some clearance by...
