    Intake Manifold Options 340

I did not check the A/F, nor did I change the jets, but interestingly enough, when I decided to pull the 650DP and give it a rebuild, I tossed on a new-ish 600 Eddy temporarily and the same thing happened. Just felt like the motor forgot how to motor. I had never been more excited when I got the...

    Intake Manifold Options 340

I had made the decision to swap the smaller carb after reading a few carb comparison articles. On a small Chevy, there was a comparo done between a slew of Holleys from 390 up to 950, all mechanical secondaries. The difference in peak and average power from the 650 to 750 was so slight, probably...

    Intake Manifold Options 340

I have a build that is fairly similar to yours. Being a 360, it does have the bigger stroke, but it's about 10:1CR, Lunati Voodoo 268/276* .494/.513", Mild ported J heads 2.02/1.60 valves, stock iron exhaust. Originally had the Performer and a 750 DP on top. Then, I swapped to an RPM (non air...

    05 Hemi problems

What EGR code? Was it for a circuit malfunction? P0406 or P0404? Sometimes you can give the EGR unit/sensor a light whack or two and straighten them out temporarily. Does the engine run rough when the revs are at 2500 and lower, or does it just cut out completely?

    Carb tuning help

Just for kicks, I took the 650 DP apart and found two things: a piece of the cork surrounding the idle screw was jammed in the idle needle seat on one side and the secondary Accelerator pump check ball retainer came out of place. So after I go through the rest of the carb, Im going to give the...

    Carb tuning help

The initial timing is set at 15* with total at 34*. The reason I have the 600 on it right now is I had it from a previous project. I'm looking to see if I can tune this carb to last me til next summer or so when I can afford a better carb like one of the Thunder series, or maybe just tune the...

    Carb tuning help

Well, I'm more interested in good street manners along with good performance. As where the Holley turns this combo into a beast, most Holleys I've used aren't quite as good as the Eddys are in everyday street manners. I'm not opposed to using the Holley, but if I could stick with an Edelbrock, I...

    Carb tuning help

Thanks for the responses, guys. I like the Eddy carbs for their street manners and drivability, so I appreciate the help. Plus, being able to change jets without draining the fuel is a plus. :) This carb does have the electric choke, so it is set up a bit leaner. I'll try bringing the primary...

    Carb tuning help

Hey all. I have a 71 Duster with a mild 360. It has about 9.8:1 c.r. mildly ported J heads, a Lunati Voodoo cam with 268/276 adv. duration, 226/234 duration @ .050" and .494/.513" lift, Eddy Performer RPM intake, stock 340 HP manifolds and 2-1/4" exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers. I have two...
