    MoPars Left For Dead

I know of a '69-ish Cougar sitting very much like that for the last 30 years or more. Not for sale. I know some Ford guys who have tried.

    Which would you bid on?

Emblems on the '65s indicate two barrel cars from the factory. VIN on the '66 is a slant. Without looking at each car carefully to see how any mods were done I wouldn't bid on any of them.

How many of your personal cars ended up in junkyards?

Back around 2011 we sold two Le Baron GTC convertibles. One was a rare 1989 TII/5sp car that my son sold. The other was my wife's '95 V6. The '95 had developed some overheating issues, but the '89 ran fine. I was wandering one ot the local self serve wrecking yards one day several months later...

    Rookie Mistake...

This '68 Barracuda convertible was rescued by the guy i picked it up from (he sold it to a friend of mine, but I picked it up). The "resto" shop owner was about to skip with everything in the shop, including this car. This is what the resto shop called a finished body and paint job. It disgusted...

    Dulcich or Frieberger connections ?

I have talked to a guy who just showed at Dulcich's place. My younger son and I were talking the other day about my older son's former autocross Barracuda and the fact that it's just sitting derelict. My son suggested that DF should buy it...We're just up the road a bit...

Anyone Have Original Window Sticker '65 Formula S?

I have seen a window sticker for a '65 Formula S. This was in 1990 and I was talking to the original owner (an older lady). She told me the car had disc brakes and I told her they weren't available in 1965. She dragged me out to the car and pulled the original window sticker out of the glove...

    Valiants with V8s

I can get the Rotella 5 gal bucket for $82 (Wally and O'Reilly match) or I can get 6 1-gallon containers at Costco for $80. Plus the gallon containers are gonna be easier to handle. It's the filters that are gonna cost a bunch...

    Buying a car without keys

It is, BUT. First off a glove box lock is optional on a Barracuda fastback. Second, it only uses three key cuts not the five that are on the key. As has been stated, a good locksmith can make an impression on a new key. The years of grime in the cylinder will leave a mark on the key.

    Valiants with V8s

Yes, they were EXCEPT Barracudas. Smallest V8 in a '68 or '69 Barracuda was a 318 which makes no sense since the Dart GT could be had with a 273 in those years. Also, all 273s in 1968 and 1969 were two barrel with hydraulic lifters.

Parts! Bend over AND smile! short rant!

Rock Auto won't honor manufacturers warranty and the manufacturers won't honor their own warranty if you bought from Rock Auto. So, never again.
