Check with Tony d’ Agostino. He would know and also Dave on this site might know. Find two and I will buy the other

    70 Dart Steering Column lockout

I surprised brewers hasn’t fabricated some of those. Or someone else. They look like an oriental style finger trap to me!

    70 Dart Steering Column lockout

The funny thing is I’m looking for the one I had when I had my 1st 70 dart car. I had it. I know I did not sell it but is in a pile somewhere I hope. I think those things got thrown away long ago. I idiotically chunked my Gtx exhaust manifolds and installed headers back in 73 along with the...

    70 Dart Steering Column lockout

I may have something close to it. It mounts like a bell crank and has a plastic bushing. The torque shaft fits one end there and has another on a place near the frame believe. 70 dart service manual has a diagram

I used to have the little torque shaft and I still have the lock lever that used to be so hard to find

    PST steering boxes

Having to re-work a new steering box has to be at the least annoying. I am going to buy a new box soon but I don’t want to put the box in and then have to take it back out to re-adjust it.

    PST 1.03 Bars

I really want to raise it up some front and back and get rid of the wide rims and tires on front that make it a bear to steer with manual box. I changed the small mopar steering wheel out and out the factory size 70 steering wheel and it helped some on backing out of the drive and turning at...

    PST 1.03 Bars

Mine is lowered to what I think is an unhealthy point. Steering arms almost touch he tires in front

    PST 1.03 Bars

And with the bars I have now the suspension is about as low as it can go. The PO has wide tires on front and back. Will take some pictures tomorrow

    PST 1.03 Bars

You mentioned an important issue. Your suspension is stock and I have the QA1. When I get my 1.03’s I will have to revisit this thread

Has anyone used the Firm Feel 20:1 manual box

And I thought I had it bad!

Has anyone used the Firm Feel 20:1 manual box

But I think trembling is onto something. A smaller tire and rim would certainly help

Has anyone used the Firm Feel 20:1 manual box

Not to mention the clearance is really close on the steering arm and upper control arm. In the picture, you can see that it barely misses touching the tire

Has anyone used the Firm Feel 20:1 manual box

It looks to me that the PO had set this car up for road handling. The backend has a sway bar and is about the same height off the ground as the front

Has anyone used the Firm Feel 20:1 manual box

I’m not in a hurry, but I would guess the tires are not helping. And. A rim size change would have to be done as well

Has anyone used the Firm Feel 20:1 manual box

Well, I jacked the car up and turned the steering wheel and this is definitely a 24:1 box@ 5 1/2 turns lock to lock. Tires have 8 inches of tread on the ground

Has anyone used the Firm Feel 20:1 manual box

Now that it is warming up here today. I’m going to do some investigating. This damn thing sits pretty low and my 61 yr old body is not cooperating when it’s cold

Has anyone used the Firm Feel 20:1 manual box

Thx for the video. It looks so smooth backing up and turning. With the wide tires that came on my buggy and the factory box, it’s a wrestling match to get out of my driveway. Your ride is very nice

Has anyone used the Firm Feel 20:1 manual box

I have 235 60 R 14 all the way around. The front tires are a tight fit. I still have the factory drum brakes and Crager SBP rims with QA1 suspension. That being said, the front tires has a negative camber, otherwise the 235 tire would not fit. This is the way the car was set up when I bought...

I bought this car a year ago so I’m slowly transitioning this car to my needs or wants....imagine that.

Has anyone used the Firm Feel 20:1 manual box

No not a trick question, but an over flow from the pst discussion. Before I plunk down for a new box, I just want to gather experienced input. I have a stock box now, with wide front tires on a dart and it is a bear turn while at a near dead stop. I changed out the smaller mopar steering...

Has anyone used the Firm Feel 20:1 manual box

Looking for feedback. Looked into PST and comments on 16:1 were good but were consistent about being stiff at a stop
