    cam swap

Thanks for all the help, got er done. Installed the new cam and the 302 casting heads with 1.88 and 1.60s and new intake. Everything went smooth. Just need to save up for some early A headers now. One of these days I might acually finish this project.

    Cam and lifter questions!

Thanks for the help guys, I have these new sealed power lifters lying around and figured if I could why not save a few $, and just order the cam without lifters. Every dollar saved gets me one step closer to a set of headers.

    Cam and lifter questions!

I am doing a few mods to my 318. It was recently rebuilt to stock specs .20 over. For a cam I was thinking of the Crane energizer 272 with .454 lift or the Comp high energy 262 .462/.470 lift. I am running fresh 302 heads with new springs that will handle up to a .505 lift and 1.88 and 1.60...

    RPM Airgap vs. non-Airgap?

Here in New Mexico it can get down in the teens in the winter and my 318 starts good, just takes a little bit to warm up. I am running the airgap and if I were going to buy another it would be the same. Afterall most people let their motors warm up anyway, in cold weather.

    400hp 318

Personally I like the 302 casting heads with 1.88-1.60 valves or magnum heads on a 318. With bigger valves you will lose your port velocity. A 318 will make more power than a lot of people think, and you can do it fairly inexpensively. I built one for a 73 Dart that I had and it ran very strong...

    Need Help!

I got it figured out. Its Alive! I didnt realize that the ballast resistor would make that much difference if it was hooked up backwards. I forgot to mention I replaced the resistor the other day too. Seems I hooked it up backwards, I guess thats pretty dumb, but alteast it was an easy fix. I am...

    Need Help!

Maybe someone could help me out, I am looking into a performance coil and some hotter plugs. Right now I am running a stock coil and Champion RN12YC plugs. I dont think this is getting the job done. Any recomendations? I am running a 318 0 deck with ported 302 casting heads 1.88+1.60s rpm airgap...
