Someone's home but the lights aren't on...

Yeah, it's an aftermarket shifter and there's no radio in the dash. I was in my garage while doing this, so daylight isn't an issue.

Wouldn't know, I have a Hurst Pro-shift and it's not lighting up, the heater switch doesn't light up well enough to see anyway, and the factory radio has been deleted.

Can anyone tell me what exactly the instrument cluster voltage regulator is supposed to do? With the old one in, my temp and fuel gauge peg to the right, with the new one, their both dead sticks. Cluster ground is good, can't figure it out.

    72 Dart Instrument cluster...clusterF

Well, I don't have all the screws in, because I don't have all the screws. Like I said, it worked before. It's a friggin' mystery to me right now. Is there someway to test the limiter?

It's not dangling, it's been completely reinstalled. Where is it supposed to ground to the chassis at?

So, I bought this Dart from this nice kid who I'm now figuring out knows as much about auto electrical systems as my cat. Aside from the gremlins running through my car's electrical system, I've decided to tackle the dash first... He bought a instrument cluster voltage regulator that plugs into...
