    Rim Blow switch replacement

I looked it up on YouTube. Didn't have Mopar, but showed Ford and AMC. Looks easy enough, until you try it yourself. LOL Also found some resto shop for wheels that had the switch for over $200.

    Rim Blow switch replacement

I have two rim blow wheels. 1 no cracks, no rim blow switch, the switch on the inside of the wheel. #2 has complete switch, but cracks....lol. I'm also interested in how hard it would be to remove the one that looks ok, and put it on the one that has no cracks and no switch.

    Speedometer Lube

Agree. What I used on my old 71 years ago. Also used WD-40 to get it down into the cable housing. Used the graphite as what is used for locks. Getting to the cable housing is the biggest part of the task.

    A body bucket covers

I picked up some bucket seats that came out of an early 70's Duster. Now I have a 70 Dart. I read somewhere, can't remember where, but it said that the frames are the same for the early 70's seats, just the covering is different. Is this true? Thanks!

Is this a '71 Swinger Steering Wheel?

It pulls off. Center cap has spring holding it on. Kinda like a hub cap. That's a rim blow, TUFF wheel. Very nice to have.

    Another seat cover replacement

Thanks for the tips. I want to get my work bench FINALLY finished. Then I'll take the seat out and try the tips. When I do I'll try to take pics for people here to see what mistakes I made and how I "corrected" them. LOL

    Another seat cover replacement

Ok thanks you two! Attached is a picture of where it is at right now. The cotton is pulled to some extent, it looks worse lower though. I'll try to save it by adding some material over the top of it and clipping it tight. Then go to the seat covers. I got the covers, I think they're Year One...

    Another seat cover replacement

Ok, I've used the search and looked over some of the threads on the process. The one I looked at shows buckets seats, but the process should be pretty much the same right? That is a question by the way. The main difference I have seen is all the seats have foam, where in my 70 Dart it is a...

    rust removal

My car had some light surface rust on it. I used something called OSPHO. It's a rust converter, converts iron OXIDE into iron PHOSPHATE. Whats nice is it acts kinda like a etching coating. You can paint right over it. Oh, I got the OSPHO at Ace Hardware. Hope this helps.

headliner instalation. Tips and sugestions please

Hmmmm bummer. I needed to see the part about taking the bows out and replacing them in order. That was before I knew about it. No excuse, I know, but I also plan on doing it myself. Or at least trying. I don't plan on cutting anything until I'm sure though. At least I'll have that in my favor.

    removing head rests

I tried to remove the plastic base from the seat. That didn't work. So........I tried using a big crow bar, stuck it between the posts of the head rest and gave a quick bump up and they both came out just like that! Real easy. So, they do come out by yanking them out. Thanks!

Trying to remove instrument panel, need help (70 duster)

If I was to break the board like that one picture shows, I would probably do a shadetree fix with some REAL good super glue. What the heck, it's worth a try ain't it? Cause there is a super glue out there that is used for electronic manufactor. It holds resistors and capacitors. Something to...
