    help? clutch wont disengage

    Perfect!!!! The first picture shows the problem. With the pivot bent forward it shortens the throw of the rod preventing complete release of the clutch. Remove the pivot on the engine, straighten the bracket, heat treat it, bolt it on and tell us how it works. Jim

    Those seals are a bear to get over the ball. Slightly grease the ball and boil the seal in water. Much easier when their hot.

    Damn, I've got to organize my recepts. I bought a set last year and will have to try to figure out where I got them. Your talking about the balls on the ends and the 2 part nylon bushings (2 sets with seals) right?

    I don't know. Have you considered installing a weaker pressure plate. I bought a kit for the torque bar (both ends, frame and engine ends) basiclly new balls and nylon bearings/bushings. Just cleaning everything, installing new pivots w/grease made a world of difference on the pressure required...

    What's missing from here?

    I bought a boot and the nylon bushing kit for my 67 last year. Damn if I remember where but they are available. Getting those little seals over the ball ends is a *****. Throw them in boiling water and grease them to install.
