    5.7 hemi swap wiring question

You might try Cu440da on this forum. He put a 5.7 and a Viper 6 speed into his Warlock recently. I know he ordered in a custom wiring harness and ecu, but he probably has some good advice for you. His has been on the road for a little more than a month. It's quite the beast and even gave my Dart...

    It's alive!!!!

Well, not that I don't believe you, but I would be more than willing to race you. We can go from a stop or go for top end. I guarantee I'll take you off the line. I've been as high as 145 in this beast with more to give, but the front end is scary at that speed. How scary will yours be at that...

    It's alive!!!!

Um, yes, you were going that fast. I was going faster. You might remember seeing me flying up on you like you were standing still. I slowed down and matched you at 118 mph. I love the video. Especially the end where you see that gorgeous Dart parked along the side of the road. I'm really happy...

Exciting times. I'd love to see this at some car shows before it snows in 14 weeks.

    Mini Starter .....Why?

Two words - high torque. I bought a Durango starter for my Dart when my old mini starter went out. It fits, has more torque and is easy to find.

Need quick rundown 5.7 hemi apart

It takes very little to turn out a lot of power. I think just a cam and a stroker kit, which takes the bad pistons and rods out of the equation, puts it at around 650 hp. Lots of available power in these motors. Here is the motor test fit in his Warlock.

Need quick rundown 5.7 hemi apart

Apparently piston and/or rod failure is fairly common. My brother bought a 5.7 Hemi for his Warlock and got it cheap because it had a bad plug and the guy scavenged another for his other 5.7. I'm not sure how they fail, but apparently they do. I googled 5.7 Hemi piston and got a whole lot of...

    T56 input shaft trimming

It's been done before. I'm sure the boys here on FABO have the answers and a starter option that will work. I'd be happy to help. Well, happy is a strong word, but let me know if you need a hand.

    T56 input shaft trimming

I'm pretty sure it can't be done. Better to stick to a slant six anyway. Easier and probably faster anyway. :-)

    MSD set ups

No. There was no mention of the motor you were using. I'm running a 408 stroker. I would still like some known use curves to program with.

    MSD set ups

I asked this same question and got no real answers. I would love to see or hear some. I was told ramp it up to basically all in at 3000 rpm. I have a MSD-6 now and haven't installed the programmable MSD 6AL-2 yet, mostly because of the same questions you have. It's gathering dust on my shelf.

Voltage changes 12 to 14 volts constantly

I am pretty sure your voltage regulator is in the PCM. It was a stupid thing Chrysler did for a while.

    Starter with TTI's?

I use a high torque mini starter from eBay. It cost me $70 and has been in for 2 years. It's a close fit no matter what with my TTi's.

    TTI headers installed, pictures anybody?

My 408 install. The TTi's hit a casting hump on the motor while still on the ground. I ground that off. They needed to be bent a little on a press to clear the starter even though they asked what starter I was using. Other than that, they fit tight, look good and sound good. It's been a year and...

    Electronic Speedo Hook up

Well? I am trying to decide whether to go GPS or electronic. Did you get your new Autometer in yet?

    Electronic Speedo Hook up

I have a GPS speedo app on my phone that I use, and it is pretty good, but when I am climbing speed fast it can't keep up. That is the main reason I am not going with a GPS speedo and am going with a high quality electronic one instead.

    E85 carbed 6.1

I am doing it soon on my 408 stroker. The guy who is doing it prefers a Holley but is doing my Edelbrock 800. Rejetting, new metering rods and air bleeds. E85 is 105 octane and allows way more advanced timing and more power. It will definitely use more fuel, but so what? You don't build a power...

    old man new member

We'll try not to hold the E body thing against you. :-) Sweet car, should be a screamer with a 5.7 Hemi. Lots of work and finagling, but when it's done it will be awesome.
