    What about finding a way to mount it in the gap between the body and the bumper? I like your idea of hiding it behind the grill, but that would impede the cooling system. Also as stated above, its illegal. do you have to travel country backroads a lot where deer are common? I could see purpose then.

    I've seen lots of people build their own "console" so to speak in the models not equipped with a factory center console. You can get pretty creative and make it look really good at the same time

    Stock dizzy is probably Hall effect like mine was. The voltage regulator is a part of the computer for a heads up. I'm not sure how your going about the wiring, but I thought you may find that to be a helpful bit of info.

    If your definitely getting adequate fuel, that only leaves ignition. If you have another ignition box laying around, swap it out and see what happens. My 64 was doing that and the box ended up being bad

    I believe that will be the plan of action. Anything else just sounds like more work than 1mpg increase is worth I'll see what I can do. Not sure how long I'll be at work tomorrow. Seems like I have a crank sensor on the bottom front of the block. Will confirm ASAP

    HEI won't work with my setup. That much I know. I think I'll just stick with the 6al box and a hotter coil. Seems to be more crap than its worth after that
