Yes, I've seen many different paint combinations/schemes on '68 and '69 grilles. Typically, the standard Darts (non GT/GTS) had the verticals painted black and horizontals left alone. This kind of gave the grille more of a chrome look than black--my '68 Dart 270 grille used to look like this...
