    Factory 340 manifold exhaust pipes

Thanks Seank, I called Accurate and they sell the headpipes as a set. The intermediate pipes have to go with the headpipes. I tried my best to get them to seperate but he wouldn't so I had to buy the set for $299.00 less 10%. They are on the way but I am pretty sure they will fit the best. I may...

    Factory 340 manifold exhaust pipes

Does anyone have a photo of the driver side Hi-Perf manifold exhaust piping. I am looking under the car and can't see how to route the exhaust head pipe past the pitman arm, torsion bar, etc. I need to see how it is done and if there is someone that reproduces the facory manifold head pipes. I...

    exhaust manifold flanges

I got some off E-Bay not too long ago. They are real nice pieces and the cost was reasonable. Search 340 exhaust or mopar exhaust. I am happy with the parts and service I got. Sorry, can't remember who I got them from.

    340 headers?

Fair enough, I shall remain silent.

    340 headers?

fishy68, do you have TTI's on your car? Do you have the Desktop Dyno installed on your computer and input everything as it is with all the required info then taken your car to the track and ran it? If the answer is no to these questions, then you really have no idea. I have the dyno program, ran...

    340 headers?

Now thats a thought, where would you get the spitfires? I did have the 3.9's in the car at one time but took them out because of the high rpm's on the highway. Used them in the desktop dyno and dragstrip calculations at the time. The car did run in the 12's when I had slicks, and the nitrous on...

    340 headers?

Desk top dyno is a joke, you can't go by that, I have one of those programs and its fun to play with but thats all. None of the numbers came up at the track like they do on the drag strip dyno. I should be in the 12's according to them. I re-tuned of course, I have an air/fuel ratio guage...

A pair just went on e-bay for $535.00!!!! Gee, maybe I should sell mine.

    340 headers?

I disagree, I think 50+ HP is a bit of a stretch. My car is a 14.2 sec car with street tires. Thats barely 300 horses maybe a little more. The elevation is somewhat higher here plus the air is not that great for big HP. I noticed a bit of a difference a long time ago when I put the headers on...

    340 headers?

Drive to New York, now thats funny, check your geography, thats most of the way across Canada from where I live and its O.K. about the power loss, all I have to do is hit the NOS button and that will more than make up for the difference. Thanks for the info.

    340 headers?

Thanks for the info, abodyjoe, you helped me make up my mind on whether or not I would instal the factory cast HP manifolds or TTI's. I for sure, cannot, even though a lot of people like them, pay around $800.00 for the TTI's (that includes currency exchange and shipping to my door), for...

    1968 - 1970 exhaust manifold reproductions

I just happen to have one of those drivers side cast manifolds that doesn't have any casting or part #'s. Some of the 6 pack cuda's are like that also. Doesn't mean that it is wrong, just that it can be that way.

    340 headers?

Abodyjoe, I see that in your first photo, you have hedmans with power steering, then the second is with TTI and manual steering. Did you have to change the power steering box to manual so the headers would fit? Also, how 'blue" have the chrome TTI's gotten since installation.

New Flow Techs w/chrome ceramic finish came today!

Well, are they installed yet?? I will be very interested in how well they went in and how the fit is. Please post some pics when you are done showing all the tight spots or problem areas.

    Which Headers fit the best?

Thank you 71Valiant, thats just what I needed to hear. I am not too concerned about how low the headers hang as I don't go over any real rough roads to bother them. I just wanted to know which headers FIT without banging them up to miss all the components. Thanks to all of you for your valued...

    Which Headers fit the best?

Welding up a set would be a good idea, if I was that talented, but i will have to leave that up to the people who can. I am starting to lean towards the Ceramic coated Hooker Competition headers. Someone stop me if I am wrong. I have 1 more day to decide.

    Which Headers fit the best?

Ya, that is funny, hmmmmm, now I am really unsure what to get. I need more info. Believe it or not the MP headers fit better on the driver side, just had to cave them in to clear the power steering box and dent them in to clear the torsion bar and smack them to clear the steering linkage. There...

    Which Headers fit the best?

Ya, thats about how low my MP headers hang but thats not an issue, just as long as they don't hit everything in their path like the torsion bars, steering linkage, etc. I REALLY had to bang up my MP headers to the point to where one pipe on the pass. side is really restricted. I will never buy...

    Which Headers fit the best?

I know this topic has been raised many times but I am going to instal some new headers in my 72 340 Dart Swinger and would like to know what you guys are running and if they fit good without a lot of dents and dings. I have power steering and don't want to lose it and I cannot afford TTI's. My...
