    R&R leaf springs

Drop both sidesssssss. Then you will be ready for the new ones. This gives you lots of time to size up your hardware and bushing needs. You just know that something will jump up and bite you in the backside. Always does for me.

    Torque boxes

Auto rust technicians, or AMD make pre-stamped boxes. They have all the proper notches, and holes in them. Might be cheaper to buy them, in the long run? I thought they would be fairly cheap to buy.....wrong! By the By....how are things in the valley?

Tubular upper arms-I feel lucky tonight

Whether they are pointless or not is nowhere near the real issue. If a company offers parts for the front end of our street cars, they damn well better be SAFE. We are free to build our cars however we like, for more performance, for more safety, or even just for the "coolness" factor. Even if...

    Manual Column Rebuild

That kit for the bearing is available. Think it was The Paddock, or Laysons. It is always a good idea to replace it anyway. Yours looks really shot.

    Dart tire size

I have 275-60-15's on my Dart, with no mods other than stiffer shocks. I have posted the backspacing on here, but can't remember it off hand. For this to work, your rearend absolutely has to be centered(a rare occurance on Mopars)

Why does the left rear hang low ???

If it has been like that for 30 yrs, could the front torsion bars have an effect? Kind of a wedge type deal? That battery won't help any, or the driver, no matter how fit they are. You could maybe put some coil-overs on to help adjust the heights.

Why does the left rear hang low ???

Whats better Manual steering or Power?

For Sunday cruising and nostagia, I love my standard box. I just get that muscle car feeling when I'm driving the Dart. You are actually DRIVING the car, shifting gears, pushing the clutch, sawing on the wheel....it's all about the feeling I get. All of our everyday cars have power though.

did I get the wrong stuff?

You undo one end, and adjust, then re-install. I've seen this on other makes, and even on my lawn tractor.

    The 2-step?

Hi John. When I went to a little bigger front tire, I had a similar problem. It turned out to be a bit of bump steer.I guess the tires exagerated it. Also check your shocks. Are they 90-10's? Shocks are most likely your problem, which would make sense with your sensation of lifting the...

    Challenger 8 3/4 Rearend

All that is needed to mount it, is to relocate the spring pads to match your car, then narrow as desired. With the right backspacing on the rims, I have heard of guys using them without even narrowing.( I think this might look funny). Also check your pinion size. It might be larger than your...
