Biggest tire on Stock 67-69 Dart

Do your homework, measure carefully, and get custom backspacing, and 275-60/15's on 7 inch rims is easy. NO other mods are needed.

    275/60/15

I can't remember exactly, but I know it's the same as a cop rim, 15X7, and same backspacing as a cop rim too. Rear end is all stock. There is no room left, but at least they don't rub.

    275/60/15

I have them on my 69 Dart. NO mods were needed, but careful back spacing measurements, and a perfectly centered rear are a must.

    anyone know these wheels?

I'm having second thoughts Kim. Something looks different about them? Maybe they are Ford wheels?

Those are 75 Charger Wheels. Mine came with them way back when. I'll try to upload a pic of mine for you.

    275/60-15 on dart?

Yes!! My rearend was centered perfectly, or mine would not have fit.Just found my invoice from Stockton Wheel Service, and my backspacing was 4.25 inches.

    275/60-15 on dart?

I have them on mine. NO modifications to the car, other than heavy duty shocks. I didn't even need to clearance the wheelwell lips. It's all about doing your homework on back spacing.

New Rallyes are on - pictures

Great fit!! Exact same combo as mine, but my backspace is 4 5/8". I'm looking to go with 15's on the front, but can't find any with small bolt pattern. Those really changed the look of your car. Great job

    WTB 15x8 Police rims.

The guy that has the used car lot on the corner of Plains Rd and Waterdown road had a set. He may still have them. The guys name is Eldon. He has some wild old Mopars. His are 7 inch. If you are going to widen some, I like the look of regular steel wheels better. Sucks about Stockton. They made...

    small bolt pattern 15" wheels?

Stockton Wheels made mine. 15x7 with a 4" pattern. The nice thing about these is, you can order a custom backspace. I was able to put 275-15's on the back of my Swinger. Price was very reasonable.

    Bowtie Burnout Goes Bad

That was pretty scary. Good thing it came through the top, and not at the spectators. There are a lot of cool tire explosions on there. Thanks John.

    Best street tires?

Pooped, Poped........POPPED!!! Thats it. If they ever have a Can-Am spelling bee....don't enter gentlemen. I run Firestone Indy 500's on the Dart. They hook up great on the street. Whew, I'm pooped.

Small Bolt Pat. Cragar S/S wheel value?

Are they available in 15 inch, with the small bolt pattern? You say you have Mastercraft tires, are you in Canada? I would be interested in a pair.Oops, just found them on the Newstalgia site.

15x 7 cop wheels fit on stock 67 Dart?

I used cop rims to check the fit before ordering from Stockton. I popped the studs out, and put a 275 60 15 tire on the rim. Fit perfectly, and I used these measurements to order mine. Remember that evey car is a little different in axle centering. Mine happened to be dead center.

    275-60-15s on a Dart

I must make a correction. I found my invoice from Stockton, and my back-spacing was 4 1/4 inches on a 7 inch rim.

    275-60-15s on a Dart

I'd have to take one off to measure, but I believe it was 4 5/8, or 4 3/4 inches backspacing. Clearances are tight, but there is no rubbing with 28 psi.(at this pressure, these babies hook up great) I did NOT roll any lips, or move any perches. I do have coil over shocks, and heavy springs.

    275-60-15s on a Dart

Yes, mine fit with NO mods. I did get custom backspaced 15 inch wheels from Stockton though. One mod I am going to try, is moving the axle back 3/4 inch to make the tires look more centered. NOTE*** Rear axle must be perfectly centered for this to work(a lot of Mopars had as much as 3/4 inch...

    rim choice

If you go steel, please don't go copcar. Get a nice set of plain rims widened to 7 inch for the rear, with a custom backspacing to fit the BIGGEST tire you can.

    rim choice

Going tough Adam? Thats cool. Choices are limited. Obvious ones are Rallyes, or torq thrusts. Old style Centerlines might look good. Keep the fronts skinny, to make the rears look wider? Guess you know my vote.LOL

    Just had these rims refinished

Thanks chasb. Hope you can post some pics with them installed. Good luck at the shows, this year. I'm curious as to what came originally on your particular GTS. Mine was steel with dogs, but it's a cheaply optioned Swinger. I suppose most GTS's came with the mag covers?

    Just had these rims refinished

I'm more of the magnum style fan. But you did a fantastic job on those steelies. What size tire do you use for your spare? I tried a 215/70/14, and the diam was too great.

Biggest tires on a 5 1/2" Steel Wheel?

I dealt with them too, and they were terrific. I had a local shop try to widen a set, Major disaster. At least with Stockton, they stock rims, so you don't have to ship your crap to them. These are on the rear of my car now. They were even dead straight!

Biggest tires on a 5 1/2" Steel Wheel?

Contact "Stockton wheel" in California. They will make a nice steelie in any width or backspacing you need. I had custom Rallyes made, with the small bolt pattern. The price may suprise you, and you will get excactly what you want.

    Need some help......

Hi triggerjay Cragar never made a wheel with a good backspacing to fill your wheel well. Demonseed has a good suggestion there. Backspacings were very limited in the 5x4 size. 15x7's might not be too bad though.
