    Electric Conversion input

The point I was making was using OEM Tesla computers, wiring harnesses, and stuff to do an EV conversion is significantly harder than going with an Aftermarket setup (like Stealth EV or EV West) to use a Tesla motor in an EV swap.

    Electric Conversion input

From what I understand, it will be an absolute nightmare. Mechanically, Tesla's are simple, but their computers are complex. I feel like there are a lot easier ways of doing an EV swap. I'd probably start with a 9" diameter or greater forklift motor and connect it to a manual transmission. If...

    Any A-Body YouTubers Out There?

I can totally relate. I started a YouTube channel back in 2015 to 2016. I had posted a couple videos on here and it got pretty good reception. I'd either cruise around in my Dart and talk about automotive topics as a young enthusiast or show clips of me autocrossing. Those videos are now off...

    3D Printed Washer Res

They have a clear and high temp resin that are more clear, but both are very brittle materials.

    3D Printed Washer Res

Awesome work! I just sent you a pm.

    3D Printed Washer Res

I used to design components, print, and maintain our department's FormLab printers at my old job. There are definitely pros and cons. I always hated trying to remove the support and sanding the surfaces. What material are you going to plan on using.

    3D Printed Washer Res

3D printers are fun. I've been getting back to printing with my Creality Ender 3 Pro. What 3D printer are you using? How are you going to support the top of the bottle and remove the supports afterwards?

    Carbon fiber dash pad.

That's actually good advice. I just checked on Amazon and there's some form rolls for pretty cheap. Maybe I'll go this route.

    Carbon fiber dash pad.

Awesome work! I need to get back into composites. I was originally thinking about doing this, but I was stupid and didn't leave the foam on my dash frame. Now I have a bare frame and I'm trying to brainstorm what I should do with it. I do have a vacuum pump and a roll of fiberglass in my garage.

3D printed body parts? Anyone tried?

As a guy who has a 3D Printer and used them in almost all of my jobs. You would need a very large (and expensive) 3D printer and the print time would be quite extensive. Similar to composites, the material isn't necessarily the expensive part, it's the time. On another note, 3D printers print in...

Awesome A-body air dam for under $30!

I've been debating if I should get another Camaro spoiler or if I should try the Ranger air dam for the future... Can't decide which one I like more.

Do you have a group of car friends you wrench with?

It's nice to know that I'm not alone. I guess I'm a social guy and don't mind other people in my garage working on my car. I had a friend in college who would wrench with me on my car but after we graduated he lost interest and likes to wrench on his own car.

Do you have a group of car friends you wrench with?

Do you have a car club or group of friends where you all get together, wrench on each other's cars, go to meets, race, etc.? Although the FABO and online community is big, most my mopar friends in real life live far away, are +20 years older than me, and I see them all of once or twice a year at...

What's your plans or goals for 2020 with your ride??

If I can, I'd like to be able to install my universal dash, radio, and just get my car running with a Holley Sniper. Hopefully, by 2021, I'm autocrossing and road racing again.

    A body top speed

135 mph at Willow Springs. The gauge is really funny in a '68 Dart. It slowly climbs to 95 mph then drops to 120 mph where the needle maxes out. Lol.

2JZ VVT engine swap in an Early A Body?

I'd dig the swap. I debated doing a 1JZ or 2JZ in my Dart. I believe someone here put an RB25DET in a '67 Barracuda. The only thing that put me off with those swaps is the weight of those straight 6's. They're as heavy as a small block.

HOW MANY HAVE DONE A FATHER/SON PROJECT....

I wish I had, but my parents were divorced. My dad is thinking about retiring in the next couple of years and wants a '72 Corolla because that was his first car when he moved to the US. I'd hope that could be our Father-Son project. He's also mentioned wanting a flat-fender Jeep.

    Any Tesla owners here?

I looked into it. It's way too expensive if you want any amount of range above 25-50 miles.

    TV car shows!!!

I get all my car content from Youtube and Motortrend OnDemand (free - not paid). I like watching MightyCarMods, Bad Obsession Motorsports, Hoonigans, etc.

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Removed spark plugs (all were very black - rich), went to Harbor Freight and picked up some sockets, turned my crank and it's not seized! Yay! Now what the hell shut my engine down? Do you think it could be my ignition coil?

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

No ignition box. MSD Pro-Billet Ready-To-Run Distributors 8388

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Where would it go? The only two wires coming off of the coil go straight to the connector which connects to the distributor.

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Follow up... 2 people told me to check the ballast resistor and no such thing is present because MSD Ready-to-Run ignition. So I don't know why this car died. I did pull the starter and all the teeth are there so that means no teeth in bellhousing. I think there are friction discs in here that...

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

I will do, thank you for the input. Thank you! I'm actually going to put some stiffer leaf springs in it as the tires rub when there are things in the trunk, a full tank of a gas, or a passenger in the vehicle.

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

I did drive my Dart to work today. The car decided to shut down and give out right before I got home. The car would start up again but would die immediately (no idle) And then while trouble shooting it the starter decided it didn't want to live anymore. I had to tow it 3 houses up a hill to get...

I remember seeing that engine on CL. Glad you liked it. You're not too far. I'm in Covina.

I've never been, but have always wanted to. Once I get my clutch warn in, I'd like to take my Dart there.
