I recently got a new gas tank and sending unit and i installed it with out any problems. I unfortunately later broke off the end where the wire goes for the fuel guage. I had to take out the unit again to repair. Thats all done and seems fine. My problem is while i had the tank out again before...

Ok, i see i think. So you put it on top and when you tighten up the strap it keeps it from moving around?Sorry if i sound stupid.....BTW i have one strap 67 Dart. It makes sense. The pad, what its use? keeps the tank from moving around?

Top pad was included with sending unit. orig. one had none. its black with cuts in it. I asume it lays one the top of the tank? do you glue it down or something? BTW thanks for the help

First i have searched some here with no luck..I have a 67 Dart with a small block. Im sure fuel line size from tank to pump is 3/8........Is this correct. Im getting 3/8 as a answer but also 5/16. I just want the correct size. Thanks
