I have never seen one in person so I don't know this. I have a 318 with a 600 holley carb. My question is, How deep is it from top of carb to the bottom base? Is it deep or shallow. Im asking because my Holley air cleaner was to shallow and would hit the gas line going into the carb. I would like to get one but hate to spend the cash if its not going to work. Any advise or help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Edd, I don't think they are a dropped base.

They will clear a 600 holley with no issues as long as you use the banjo fitting coming off the fuel bowl.

It's a hollow bolt like on a brake caliper.

It looks like this you can also adjust it were you want it.Ya thats my old 600 my 750 is in the penitently box 2 minutes for flooding.

It is not a drop base but depending on your intake, the base may hit the hood.
