    Screwdrivers

I like some of this guys reviews. He puts tools thru a number of tests , from cheap HF up to the big names. Big money doesn't always win. In this screwdriver test, he even shows how durable they are when they are used for the wrong purpose. Not that I would ever do that.

    Best (INDOOR ONLY) car cover?

Yep, can't go wrong with them. Worth the price, and they are pricey. Your cover will be custom made to fit your car using a pattern instead of a generic cover that kinda fits nothing correctly.

    Metal Garage Ventilation

The insulation is sandwiched between the roof and wall panels and the frame so no air gap for the ridge vent to be doing anything. I like the idea of a vent on one end and a fan on the other and then if that's not efficient at air movement I can do what Dana67Dart mentioned and put ductwork...

    Metal Garage Ventilation

I was looking at the solar powered fans. I thought they'd be a good idea to manage the heat of the day. I'm not looking for climate control. I was mostly concerned with drawing in more damp air. Any idea if the make-up air should come from up high or down lower on the side opposite the exhaust fan?

    Metal Garage Ventilation

I had a nice 5 bay metal garage built a few years ago primarily for storage. I had the factory installed roll insulation installed when the garage was built. If there was a ridge vent, it can't be operational because I can see how the insulation was done across the roof. The garage is kept...

    Vacuum Gauges not zero'd?

They are both Bourdin style. They don't have calibration screws. I did see where you can disassemble and pull the needle off and reset to zero. I just find it odd that two gauges made 50 years apart read exactly the same error.

    Vacuum Gauges not zero'd?

I have a hand me down name brand vacuum gauge. It reads 2" mercury when not hooked up. So, I bought a name brand new one. Same thing. I know altitude plays into the gauge's reading but I'm at 675' above sea level so the error should only be 1/2" maybe. I researched and don't see any way to zero...

    3/4 drill or hole saw?

Just looking ahead, have you thought about how you will hold the bungs parallel to each other and even across the top so the injectors will sit correctly for the fuel rail? You dont want to find out they all point different ways after the epoxy dries. I'm guessing you have a jig that the bungs...

    Help. Engine stand/cradle

Engine stands for rebuilding an engine are universal. Engine cradles for storage are usually engine specific.

    I'm now a guy with a compressor

Harry, Did you get it bolted down? I cant say what quality it is but I see Harbor Freight has an automatic drain. Get yourself some impact sockets if you dont have them. Regular sockets can/will crack on an impact gun.

    Energy Consumption Poll (my shop)

I'm not an HVAC expert, but it's got to be similar to heating in the north. You don't shut your heat off in your house when you're not at home, you just turn it down so you're not wasting energy. I would think setting the AC to 75 degrees when you're not there will keep the humidity down and the...
