    Did I do something stupid?

@DC 340 Yes, It is exactly as you say. There is five at the axle on each side. The half leafs come from the front on the 863 and from the back on the 864.

    Did I do something stupid?

I did a bit of research on the part numbers i found. According to mopar performance, Mancini racing and Summit 4120863 is correct for the right side. Now i am confused....

    Did I do something stupid?

I looked under there and pulled the part numbers. 4120863 is on the right and 4120864 is on the left. They are backwards. So, I will hang my head with shame and swap them around. Yes it does seem odd the U-bolts are only tightened to 45 FP.

    Did I do something stupid?

Thanks guys. Yeah I thought so. I just use the car for cruising around, had it for 25 years. It means to much to me to beat on it. Thanks oldmanmopar! That is a great explanation. I will swap them out. I am also hoping this changes my pinion angle. It is pointing up.

    Did I do something stupid?

I have a 69 340 swinger 4-speed. Around ten years ago I put on Mopar performance leaf springs. The other day I was looking it over and I noticed that the right side was soggy. After looking under it, I saw the two leaf springs are different. The left side has more leafs. Are these backwards?

    T-bar question

Thanks for the info Oldmanmopar, that is what i was looking for. The reason I was asking is that the adjusters for the t-bars is way different from side to side. One side has a bunch of threads showing on the bottom and the other does not. The car is level and drives fine.

    T-bar question

Working on 69 dart 340 swinger. On the rear face of the t-bar it has a line cut into it. Does this line have to be clocked in any certain position? Like 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock? Thanks!!

    Steering box adjustment

I am often wrong, just ask my wife. So, all adjustments come from the cross shaft? None from input shaft?

    Steering box adjustment

According to the FSM this how to adjust it. Loosen the cross-shaft adjustment until pitmen arm is loose. Loosen large castle nut, tighten shaft bearing nut, tighten large castle nut. Slowly tighten cross gear until pitman arm is tight again. Is this wrong?

    Steering box adjustment

Working on 69 340 swinger. Looking to take the slop out of my steering box. I am having trouble loosing the big castle lock nut that goes around the input shaft. I have tried the screw driver and hammer with no luck. Anybody have any idea how to loosen the dude?
