it is a 1975 plymouth duster, I can pull the switch and I have the interior lights on the steering colum. prnd12. there is nothing around the switch on the floor so I am thinking it is the "hot" wire.

I was driving home at 7pm tonight and my lights went out so all I saw was darkness. I know its not the headlights seeing as they are new. Where could I find a switch? I have a leak from somewhere that runs down the back of my dash, so I am guessing it got wet and shorted out.

Been here and done that!! lol I forgot to hook up the safety neutral switch and jumped across the starter and it jacked it up.

looks to be jerry rigged, you can always try to buy new wires for everything

replace spark plugs, points, plug wires.. etc..
