340 Water Pump questions, anyone using Flow Kooler?

I would think a good stock pump should work well with that Be Cool. I put an 8 blade on my mostly stock 340 with non working a/c and stock radiator and it is working well... Also, I might be heading to somernights at the end of the month as well. Somernights is a lot of fun... Good Luck!

What bolts to hold shroud to rad?

You can buy them here http://www.amhightechauto.com/ check under fasteners and there is a good picture. Or you can probably get something close at lowes. They usually have an auto fastener drawer in the nuts and bolt section

    drill holes in t-stat?

Are you sure 2/3 on the factoy guage is 210-220? The reason I ask is I was concerned about mine reading on the second highest line on the factory guage, but I found out that is actually 196 degrees. I have confirmed this as many ways as possible with an infrared gun... not sure if this helps...

What SB water pump is best and why?

I just installed a stock 8-blade reman on my 340 with air (air not working). I had a hard time finding a 6-blade with the correct case that didn't block air compressor installation. Anyway I am running a 160* t-stat and so far everything is running cool... everything is stock, fan, raditor, etc...

    Water pump help!

Good to know! I found a reman 8 blade at a local parts store... I really wanted a new one for some reason, but I guess it doesn't really matter... it looks like a decent USA reaman and lifetime replacement... I just hope that doesn't need to happen too soon.

    Water pump help!

Thanks Rumblefish! Anyone else have any data on the 6 vs 8 blade water pump question? I have searched 10 pages of threads and the parts stores seem to be all over the place on the with air or without air parts displayed on their sites. Does any of this even matter or am I over thinking it?

    Water pump help!

So I went to pick up the new pump I ordered from Advance Auto Parts, and I took it out of the box to look it over and it had six blades. I have air and from what I understand most recommend a water pump for an air car regardless if you have air or not. It’s my understanding that the water pump...
