    PST tubular UCA too long??

Maybe sent you the wrong arms? B or C body? I have no idea about dimensional differences-just spitballing.

    Front Shock Recommendation

I would suggest 1.03 bars min. I don't recall too many potholes in Florida, no matter where I went. I have 1.12, but can't provide any feedback yet as I only have 7 miles on it so far. Concerned that I might have gone a little overboard, but time will tell.

    73 Duster 340 Suspension Recommendations

All info for the front so far, with the exception of shocks. After you get the front taken care of, I think you would do well to look at changing out the rear springs

DOES THE HDK SUSPENSION K-MEMBER HANDLE BETTER THAN A T-BAR SUSPENSION?

@MopaR&D , "Honestly I'd probably look at converting to rear multi-link coilovers before the front, if I did." Thats where I'd be at. I don't have the coin to do a Gen3 swap anyway, and I kind of like the "original" look under the hood, so I'd end up starting at the rear.

    lower control arm 1972 Duster

Hi AJ, Are you able to explain to a simpleton (me), what bind is being prevented especially during braking? Or what bind would be happening if it's easier. I saw the video posted above, and for a seemingly slow drive ( that clip appears to be someone simply turning into a driveway and coming to...

    Accessible Road Courses

Thanks for the replies so far. Even though I’m way over on the east coast, track info where someone can take their car could be useful to others across the country.

Very good point It will be some time before I can even think about cross country, but I do like to dream and think things ahead. In reality I usually show up somewhere without any clue

Everybody knows where the drag strips are, but where can you take your cars on a road course? 65 miles south of Washington DC is Dominion Raceway. They have levels of driving experience from no experience and your daily driver and driving instruction up to drivers club with whatever kind of...

Steering All Over the Place at 55mph+

Watching this to see your update when done. Yeah, working on the car stinks when you want to be out driving it, bet the feeling of "I did it" makes up for that. Besides, the more you do and succeed, the more knowledgeable and comfortable you become with owning a classic car. As you are finding...

    coil spring front

" will be used for street and strip im looking at getting rid of the bars for hedder clearance" and THIS makes all the difference in the world when it comes to the best answer. So many times I see these threads and somebody has to ask "what is the intended usage and expectations" and/or "how...

Torsion bars for better handling; your experience?

Do you mean stock TYPE suspension (retaining torsion bars, but with beefier and/or improved parts), or actually stock suspension simply with new replacement parts. I imagine that depends upon what you are comparing it to. Versus a Tri 5 shoebox, probably handles well Versus stock with worn out...

    Suspension rebuild...adjustable strut rods??

Moog has offset upper control arm bushings that allow a bit more caster adjustment. Part Number K7103. The adjustable Strut Rods aren't so much for caster, but for providing a fixed forward/back so the lower arm doesn't move, but still allow up/down articulation. The rubber bushings on the...

    Upper Control Arm Options

Thank you all for the help. I’m not to the point yet of understanding the subtle changes the mounting points would make to anti dive and all. Once I get it on the road, I’ll be more inclined to study further and learn about the finer tweaks etc. I am trying to get the right parts in place so I...

    Upper Control Arm Options

Thanks for all your replies so far. BluNblu, 3 questions, what is that covering the top half of your shock? a cut tube from a fatter shock? I was worried about the exposed shaft on mine. I was thinking of the old accordion boots from my old dirt bike days. What upper Ball Joint is that? I...

SPC Upper Control Arms (2nd Gen) and Bump Stop Question

There are taller bump stops but I don't know if tall enough for your app. I don't know the number right now (at work). ALSO I think those spindles are taller than A-Body spindles AND it looks like those upper arms have a very pronounced arch to them. Plus with a 1.24 Torsion Bar, I'm guessing...

    Handling mods

Panhard bars control the side to side movement of an axle. In a leaf spring car, that job is pretty much covered by the springs, though a Panhard could be added. Usually connected from one frame rail to the opposite side on the axle. Remember it will want to travel in an arc since one side is...
