Milodon Gear Drive w/ 60MM cam

Yes that was my original concern as shown in the photos. I couldn't find a bearing made w/ the correct ID / OD. However looking at it more today, I centered the lobes under the lifter bores and the cam would need to move about 3/8" rearward to allow the bearing to contact the block. I'm...

Milodon Gear Drive w/ 60MM cam

Anyone install a Milodon 13000 gear dive on a 60mm Cam? I'm currently attempting, and the thrust bearing supplied only contacts the block about 1/8" of an inch. Searched high and low and there doesn't seem to be wider options. So just wondering if its a concern or not. Thanks

    SCAT pro series lightweight crank

Good info , Thanks. This will be a four-speed car w/ sintered iron clutch so I should be able to keep it in the sweet spot with a heavier crank and gear ratios. Similarly, I put a lightened flywheel in a Ducati air cooled twin. It would lug if you didn't bring the rev's up when taking off but...

    SCAT pro series lightweight crank

Planning a NA big block drag only engine. I'm cubic inch limited so need to make the most of it. It will be injected on alcohol. Looking at a 4.15 stroke, 480(ish) c.i. Anyone use a SCAT pro series lightweight cranks? Do you like them , is it worth it? How much weight savings is there over a...

    SOUTHEAST GASSERS ASSN

Quain is Southeast Gassers (SEGA). I run w/ SEGA, and know for a fact you can run a 67 or earlier. Southeast gassers has nothing to do with the Northeast club he was referencing. The SEGA rules are on their website.

    360-1 on 48 deg. block

Rocket - thanks that's what I thought for the heads but does the intake need to be modified in anyway?

    360-1 on 48 deg. block

I believe when they set them up to clearance the pushrod it notches the intake mounting flange on the head, not sure on the intake that's why I was hoping for some pictures.

    360-1 on 48 deg. block

I guess I should have told her I had an Indy intake. I called and just wanted a set of bare un-ported heads set up for 48 deg. She told me they usually don't sell them that way and needed to get me a price. When she got back to me said they couldn't sell them w/o an intake. Oh well

    360-1 on 48 deg. block

Anyone running Indy 360-1's on a std. deck 48 deg. block? If so does the intake need to be machined to clear the pushrods? Any pics would be appreciated. The reason I ask is I wanted to modify a 3 piece mechanical injection manifold from a w-9 to fit the Indy head. I have the 360-1 gaskets and...

    SOUTHEAST GASSERS ASSN

I run w/ SEGA. I cant speak to the NE club, but you could technically run a 68-69 A-body in SEGA if you made it appear 67. Most of the nostalgia groups use the '67 cutoff to keep the Camaros out. And you can have a lot of fun w/o a $50k engine. I recently put a link to mine below detailing what...

    Dragzine feature of my '66

There's really not a lot of fancy internals. 59deg R1 block, Molnar bottom end, Bullet Roller w/ Bam lifters, Hughes Big-mouth heads. I did the Guitar Jones Oiling mods and its still going strong after three seasons. Launching @ 7k+ shifting when the tach pegs at 8k. Its on race gas so it can...

Any of you racers used one of the 2000 watt portable generators

If you are having trouble kicking over your AC this helped mine a lot. My 10 year old Honda 3000 would start my AC, but lugged it pretty hard. Now it barely changes rpm. SoftStartRV – Starting RV A/C Units From Anywhere, With Limited Power

I also run w/ a Lance. I recently put a soft start on the AC. Not cheap, but huge difference in the starting load on the generator. I have an old honda 3000 and it lugged it pretty hard. Now you don't even notice when the AC kicks on.
