    It was really easy...I spent more time today fixing all the adjustments I made to my carb and adjusting timing then I did actually installing the coil and Petronix Ignitor II

    I also used your trick for the ballast resistor....came out nice...still looks stock, but much better!

    All I can say is holy crap! What a difference....all this time I thought I had carb problems because I had some really bad hesitation and couldn't floor it without my car backfiring and almost dying....that is now all gone...best $156 I have spent! I got out there today and got on it....wow...

    Thanks for the feedback guys. I have decided to go with the Petronix Ignitor II and Flamethrower II. Will I need to bypass the ballast resistor or how can you tell?

    Hey Guys, I was reading this post and want to do an electronic conversion for my 65 with a 225. What is the difference between the different Pertronix products and what do you guys recommend. Also, I already have an MSD blaster coil...do you still recommend I buy one from Pertronix?

    I bought 65 rear qtr patches from laysons, great product, but also bought 65 fender well patches from classic industries and they seemed to be same quality...I would recommend whichever costs less

    If you plan to keep it for a long time I say save...if you want to flip it after a couple years...I say see if you can get it running driving without a lot of work....if you don't have to put too much into it...save

    Sounds like you are making some good progress, I can really relate your story, my father in law handed my 65 down to me and I think I have already spent more than it will ever be worth and I haven't even started the interior or serious body work yet..but I plan on passing it down to my kids one...
