    apologies,timing, and msd distributors

Your positives outweigh the negatives by far. Don't sweat it. I've met you in person, I know you're a stand up guy. I know how you feel. I let that 340rules guy get to me.

    recommended spark plug gap

I would stick with .035, which is the factory spec, unless you make further upgrades to the ignition (MSD, Jacobs, etc.)

    plug wires

I've had issues on different cars with the Accel wires relating to misfires. I do use the Fyrewires on my 72' and MSD's on the 73'. No problems so far.

FBO or MSD what do you use?

I'm running FBO on the 72' and have been happy so far. Although the car doesn't see very much street time, so the verdict's not out yet. It has revved up to 6000 RPMs with no problems. I'm running the standard Mopar electronic ignition on the 73 and have not run into any problems there...

    msd or mopar hei ?

Can't wrong with either MSD or FBO. Rumble broke it down nicely. Mopar even sells MSD now. But what I've seen and read, you should talk to those guys at FBO.

I hate this, my car won't run. info inside

boxes aren't common problem but its always good to keep one handy as a backup. Maybe you should swap to a chrome unit. IMO, not too much of a fan of those Accel coils either.

    engine noise in radio

Did your stock coil have a noise suppressor attached? It looks like a condensor-type device with a metallic tab that is grounded between the coil bracket and intake manifold and a wire that goes to the positive side of the coil.
