Stock is metal, I have them plus they sent me new metal ones and neither hold or even insert deep enough to latch. The plastic ones must be longer where they insert since this pad is around 0.200" thick and the metal clips have a section capable of holding only about half that securely.

What clips do you all use to hold the pressed pad on? The stock steel ones will not fit nor will the aftermarket replacements.

Mike, same thing on my 69 Cuda. Seems the door has a small rectangular plug at the end but some folks take them off so the weatherstrips sent to me were for without. I returned them and got the right ones and then all was correct.
