    273 CI

That would be cool to put either a 273 or 318 in my wagon, if I can get it together again.

    Joplin Missouri ?

I used to work in Joplin, Missouri and live in Carl Junction. Later I moved to Miami, Oklahoma and then to Pittsburg, Kansas, but always frequented MoKan dragway in Asbury, Missouri which is north west of Joplin. I left one of my favorite 65 barracudas in Joplin, Missouri in 1999 when I moved...

Trying to come to a number

Punctuation helps a whole lot when it comes to understanding what someone is writing. It can mean multiple things without the punctuation. I obviously thought you meant something different.

Trying to come to a number

What ever the number is, put everything in writing and have both of you sign duplicates pieces of paper saying exactly what is to be done and what the agreed payment schedule is to be. I made the mistake of trusting a car of mine to a member here and he has had the car for almost 3 years and has...

    Rear end swap

Why not loosen up the fuel tank strap and put a piece of wood and a prybar between the differential and the fuel tank and massage the fuel tank backwards and indent it at the same time. Seems like a much simpler solution than relocating a fuel cell into the trunk.

    Did I do good? Lol

I love the 65 signet hard tops. It’s a shame you’re even thinking of parting it. I wish I had it, but I really don’t need another vehicle.

    '65 Valiant in the movies

German movie, “Has Anyone Seen My Pants” ... loads of 65 Valiants in it. I remember seeing it 30 years ago and even though it is an adult movie, (the plot is quite stupid), but there must be 10 to 12 1964 and 65 Valiants in the movie and some of them are signet convertibles.

    Two tone early A dash

My 65 barracuda which was gold inside and out had a flat brown colored dash area just below the windshield. When I redid the car we did it in flat black. I don’t think anyone noticed.

I must step away from FABO for a while

Life is good, and life can be bad, but we must concentrate on the good and look forward to the future. There are many women out there that are in a similar situation who have lost their husbands and are morning their loss as well. They were groups out there that are wonderful to get involved...

    WIW - 7-1/4 sure grip

@bb66cuda You don’t happen to have another 7 1/4 3.23 sure grip, do you? How about a 63 Dart front bumper and 63 Dart post drivers door?

Can someone in CA look at a car for me?

Is anyone near Norwalk, California, north of Long Beach, who can look at an early A-body Dodge Dart wagon for me and see what it would take to get it going again? I know it has front end damage and a broken radiator but how bad? I am in Florida and want to get another early A wagon (non rusty)...

Trying to build power....225 step by step help

I think it’s your money, your parts, your imagination, your car... do what you want with it. Unless somebody else wants to buy it out from under you, do whatever it is you want with it. A Slant 6 In an E-body is cool to see and isn’t going to kill its value.

When did you "know" you were a car guy?

I still don’t think that I am a car guy. I never had any formal training on how to fix anything. I just read the instructions and do my best. I just like cars, but not so wonderful on working on them.

    engine paint removal

It looks like it’s cast iron so you can use easy off oven cleaner on it and it will remove the paint. Make sure you rinse thoroughly and maybe even make some baking soda in the water that you using to rinse it with. Do not use easy off oven cleaner on aluminum as it will eat into the aluminum.

    The 'Cuda Runs!

Sounds great in the car looks awesome. Don’t forget to install a battery hold down in the car for regular driving and also a catch can if you’re going to the dragstrip.

Shout out to a US parts supplier

I got a windshield gasket from them a couple of years ago for my 65 V-8 Valiant wagon and it fit great.

Hood Tach...should I mount it on my Valiant?

Cool, a 66 Valiant GTO. Seriously, it’s your car so do what you want. Personally, I don’t like it nor the cut-out in the hood for the air cleaner.

Mod moved my thread, NOW where is it?

I agree. I’ve had similar situations happen in the past, but rules are rules. I think they mean different things to different people and since the moderators control everything we got to go by what they say. They are like judges, you know. It would be nice if they would tell you about it and...

Good job Steve. I like that you go over and above the call of duty on customer cars. I wish I was close enough to be your customer.

    Two 8.25 rear ends

I would certainly be interested in the 293 geared 8 1/4 rear end but I am across the country diagonally from you. I wonder how much it would cost to ship it here?

    Cuda Dilemma

    Floors

I may be wrong, but as far as I know the 64 to 66 floor pans, sheetmetal wise, are all the same. The reinforcements underneath the floor like in my 66 are different in the 64 65 which are almost non-existent. The wagon floor, 4 door floor, and the 2 door floor are all the same. Dodge Darts are...

    wagon for sale: not mine

Yes, it's still in the car and is running according to Curtis. Honestly, I haven't seen the car in about a year-and-a-half. I should be up to PA this summer during mid August.

    273 Commando VC purchase issues

I am no Professional Restoration person, but I honestly don't see what the problem is. The guy had pictures, good pictures, of what he was selling and a decent description of them and the price. He didn't lie about them. I would have sold them the same way for the same price and if you didn't...

It looks like the one that came out of my 1988 Chrysler Fifth Avenue parts car. I had used the engine and transmission in my 63 Valiant wagon 15 years ago
