Hey Guys,
I'm here and cleaned out my mailbox! I let my gold membership expire. Got to fix that too.
I am at [email protected] if ya need anything.

I think that is the ticket. The 10" x 2.5 would be perfect. The reason the mount pads are different is b/c of the different shoe width. I went through this on mine. Had to buy a set of backing plates with for the right shoe width as the originals weren't right for the brand new drums I had...
What size and width are the brakes on each? 9, 10 or 11 in drums? 2, 2.5 etc. width shoes? You dont want too much rear brake or you will be locking them up with the stock proportioning valve. I went with 11x2.5's on my val and it is too much. I added a Wilwood manual prop valve to compensate...
As you look at the pedal installed in the car, some left to right movement is normal (small amount) bot too much foward and aft movement at the pivot point is a problem. Makes for a sloppy feeling brake set up. Not necessarily trying to sell you anything , but I do make bushings that replace the...
Anyone know if the splash plate to steering knuckle seal for front disc brakes is available? NAPA and Carquest don't list it according to my local stores.
Hey all,
Yeah I know, old thread. I went ahead and made a set of bushings for moparmat2000, and made a few extras while I was at it for anyone who might still need a pair. These are the .810 (my measurements were +/- .002 on different pedal assys.) type. And I also turned a few sets of clutch...
If mopardude isn't still making those bushings I'd be happy to make them for whoever needs them. I made a set for my 67 a few years back and they still work great!
Just PM me to work out the details, etc.

The car: 68 val
Original brakes: 9 in drums on all 4 corners
Upgrading to: front discs and larger rear drums
I never paid attention to the way the old (drum only) m/C fit the firewall, but with the new disc brake m/C the flange that bolts to the firewall just BARELY covers the cutout in the...
I was thinking along those lines nut someone gave me a new m/C sans the rod, boot, plate, etc. I pulled the old rod and boot but would like to replace the plastic plate alone.
When you use one of those 2\4 bolt adapters it must change your pedal height, no?
Do you have to then use an adjustable push rod? (Assuming manual brakes)
Hey all,
I'm trying to find one of those plastic plates that the mc dust boot clips on to and is samwiched between the firewall and mc. I've looked at Mancini, Year One, Classic ind. Not having much luck. Anyone know where I can find one?
Thanks

I am planning on installing a Wilwood single prop valve in my car to balance the disc front upgde vs. The rear drums.
Planning on using:

Can I mount this before the stock distribution block? I'd like to have It mounted on the drivers...
I was wondering if I could install the " imbalance switch" before the stock distribution block as to keep the switch up in the engine compartment. There it would have a bit more protection and be easier to adjust.
Good, bad?
Thanks again for your help guys. I'm amazed that NAPA and car quest both couldn't find me hardware and adjuster kits for the 2.5 brakes. I had no trouble looking them up on rock auto then cross referencing them with 72blu's numbers, and ordering them up. The installation went well and the...
Very cool. I would like to leave the stock dist block and lines in place as they look darn good.
If I installed that single valve on the subframe connector would it do okay down there? Seems like dirt, water, rain, etc would get to working on the seals pretty good after awhile. Yes, no?

Hey All,
I'm upgrading my brakes to front discs. Car is a 68 Val which had 9 in drums all the way around. The rears have been changed over to 11x2.5, while doing a 8.75 rear end swap.
The fronts are next. I have a 10 in. set up for the fronts including a late K member, late control arms...
