    Intake Choice for 400/512 Stroker

I've already committed to the 240 heads. Decided against the 270s because of the lack of intake options for a low deck. I think that Indy max wedge dual plane would be the only one that would fit under the stock hood, and I didn't this I'd even be able to find one.

    Intake Choice for 400/512 Stroker

Interesting video. They even used my same machine shop in Nashville. I would love to use that trick flow intake but there is no way it would fit under my stock hood.

    Intake Choice for 400/512 Stroker

Well, thanks a lot Austin! I've been thinking about this all day... we could go 4.11 gears in the dana and with a gearvendor that would make is seem like a 3.29 gear on the interstate. Not bad! Way to spend my $3,000! You should work for Gearvendors!

    Intake Choice for 400/512 Stroker

The problem with the gear vendor is it's another $3K and only 20% overdrive. So, that would make our 4.88s seem like 3.90s on the highway at dragweek. Not bad, but not great. Also, with this giant 4.25 inch crank i'm thinking it's going to have plenty of torque for the 3.54 gears. Then...

    Intake Choice for 400/512 Stroker

I found a Torker on Ebay for $299, looks to be in really good shape. Might just jump on that. Don't want to over think this since these intakes are really easy to change. If we don't like the Torker we could always buy an RPM to install later on.

    Intake Choice for 400/512 Stroker

I guess "streetable" is a relative term. My Dart has been 9.90 in the 1/4 mile and I drive it everywhere.

    Intake Choice for 400/512 Stroker

Thanks for all the replies everyone! The Torker intake is another one I think would clear the stock hood and perform really well. From what I can find, out of all the intakes we are talking about, the RPM is the only one you can still buy new for a B engine. All the others I would have to find...

    Intake Choice for 400/512 Stroker

Hey guys, I'm building a 400 based 512 stroker for my wife's 68 Chrysler Newport 2 Door. Our goal is 11.00 flat in the 1/4 mile but very streetable. We do Drag week and this will be her car... so lots of street miles! Goal is 600 Horse because the boat weighs 4,000 lbs. Going with the...

What should you expect to pay for a complete 75 $400 core

Yeah I screwed up the title with the dollar sign and couldn't figure out how to edit. To clarify, the guy is asking $400 for a complet 1975 400 with all pulleys brackets ect, supposedly a virgin engine that has never been apart. So we thinking this is a decent deal then?

What should you expect to pay for a complete 75 $400 core

As the title says I'm looking for a complete 400 to rebuild and stroke. I found one for $400. Does that seem a bit high for a core?

    440 question

Hey guys, I've always been a small block guy but recently been getting the urge to have a big block. I've got a chance to buy one locally. It's in the car so I can hear it run. It's a 69 hp with 67 915 heads, edelbrock performer RPM manifold and MSD distributor. The guy is asking $2,000. Is this...
