YES you an bolt an A833 4 speed trans to a slant BELL IF you have that correct 64 ish odd bell. There are two cast numbers I don't have them handy.

Yes I know they make an adoptor, but I'm cheap and hotrodder at heart. I have a couple of slide in boxes and no bolt ons. Can is just measure and grind the handle down to slide in and drill a couple of holes to bolt in there???? It is a long handle for a 64 B body.

My 64 poly318 PB '64 Belvedere developed a pretty good vibration if I put my foot in it some at takeoff. qt low of ATF!! ha

I have the smaller 3.70. If I had a 4.354 retainer I could use my trans on the easier to find bell or even a SB bell. I have no desir to pay the $ they want for a "11 inch" bell."
