car has no power , no lights

Fuseable link, just upstream from the starter relay, going into the firewall bulkhead connector. This feeds the fuse block, ignition switch, lights and everything under the dash before it goes to the alternator. I'll bet if you check for 12 volt power at the alternator, it is dead. Good luck.

    Charging Issues Mechanical Voltage Regulator

UPDATE Finally found a new voltage regulator and installed it yesterday. Everything seems to be working OK now. Battery voltage was 12.56 with engine off. After startup, voltage gradually increased to 14.10 or so before leveling off. Turning the headlights on got the same results. Headlights...

    Charging Issues Mechanical Voltage Regulator

Point taken...I misspoke in how I described the alternator. It has 1 hot wire and 1 field wire, instead of 2 like the later models do. Going to try to find a new voltage regulator and give that a try. Right now, I believe the alternator is good based on how much it can charge. Thanks. Larry

    Charging Issues Mechanical Voltage Regulator

Finally converted my 67 Cuda from points to electronic with a Promorm kit from Jegs. New distributor wiring harness and orange box. The first unit had no fire, so installed the second one with now problems. Engine starts easier and sounds crisp. Noticed that my ammeter is not showing a charge...

    1967 Barracuda wiring harness

I agree. Year one is available, but is backordered until January or so. My experience with Year One has been if it is backordered, it takes much longer to get it than stated, if at all. Thats after you pay up front. Evans has offered to make one for me, using mine as a template. Thats if mine...

    67 Cuda instrument voltage regulator

Thanks for the input....seems that upon closer inspection, the fuel guage is bad along with the voltage limiter inside it. The small, hair-like wire running from the needle side of the guage to the regulator side is fried also. Not sure how, or if this can be fixed. This is the 3rd used fuel...

    67 Cuda instrument voltage regulator

Troubleshooting the reason why my gas guage and oil/ water temp guages don't work. Couldn't find the voltage limiter that is supposed to be plugged in to the back of the instrument panel. Removed dash and found that the 67"s have a built in limiter inside the gas guage. Tried to repair the...

    67 Barracuda wiper motor

I had a similar situation with Jims Auto. I found a rebuilt wiper motor from them for my 67 convertable, ordered it online but did not recieve a comformation e-mail from them. Waited a week before I called, was told that the wiper motors were discontinued and that their e-mail was not working...
