65 D100. picked up a new toy today..

Great looking sweptline! The patina is just right, but yeah, the tires have to go. Tell me, how does a solid front axle truck like that ride? Is it bone-jarring on the road, or not too bad? I'm strongly covsideribg adding a D100 to the herd, but the front suspension I'm concerned won't be all...

Pair of running industrial slants for sale

These aren't mine, just found them today while looking for a used motor for my tractor. Both came off John Deere hay making equipment. https://www.tractorpartsasap.com/mobile/Category.aspx?id=37997 Non-mobile: https://www.tractorpartsasap.com/Used-Chrysler-Engines-s/37997.htm

CrackList is so dang irritating and is this a new scam?

Figure I'll jump in on this topic...I've both bought and sold cars on Craigslist and for the most part have had good success. Heck, I bought my Dart off of it!;) But there are liars and scammer all over the place...just sold my '89 S10 the other day and am looking to get a GMT400-series truck...

    Old Dodge Trucks

Love me some old trucks! I've been a Chevy man all my life (and still am!;)), but I've been looking recently for a layer sweptline with slanty power to operate as a shop truck for me.?only really need a half ton, but striking out as of now. Here's a neat dually I've been eyeing up, but I don't...

1968 Dart 270 Hardtop, buying questions!! (VIDEO ADDED)

My 270 didn't come with the side trim either...I suspect this was one of those things that could be deleted when ordering the car?

    68 Dart 4dr

Not really other major differences between the 2 and 4 doors. 4s are plentiful around here for a significant discount over 2 doors. From a '68 4door owner, I say do it!!

who daily drives their classic ?

To be fair, you're right. I've been in 3 accidents (2h&r) in Lucy...it sucks. But I would rather break her and fix her any day if the week than be afraid to take her out on the road. No car will last forever, I figure that I'm doing my car a service by using her.:)

who daily drives their classic ?

I daily drive Lucy: Here in MD, winters suck with salt and all that nasty, but the ol' girl has gotten in her fair share of the white stuff. I don't use her as much in the winter now that I have '79 Scottsdale to beat on, but I still manage about 10,000 miles a year on her. It's been fun.:)...

    Freaking Rear-ended Again

Ok, I appreciate that. I hope it's minor...I really do. You're right about the under-insured motorist deal...this is teh second one of these I;ve been in and each time they treat a hit and run like that. So that's a plus.

    Freaking Rear-ended Again

This is the second hit and run I've been involved in in Lucy, so it's really frustrating at this point. What's crazy is he had 3 kids in the car...not a very good role model there. He even agreed to follow me around the corner to swap information, but then he sped off. Asshole. The best(ish)...

    Freaking Rear-ended Again

Geez yesterday was not my day. And to top it all off, I got rear-ended yesterday on my way home from church. Naturally it was a hit and run, too. :banghead: The pics don't look too bad, but I'm afraid the chassis may have gotten tweaked since the left side rocker panel trim won't hardly stay...

    At the Junkyard today

Wow...that is slim pickin's! At last count, the junkyard I go to about 40 minutes away had 35 A-bodies? Of course, they're literally the only yard in the area with any at all...

whats the wierdest things you found in your car

In my '69 Chevy C10, I found oil, vice grips, and a 1" thick tow rope, which sort of makes sense given that the truck used to work on the docks in Baltimore. In my Dart, I occasionally heard a clunking in the trunk when I cornered hard. Didn't think much of it til I was cleaning out the trunk...

    Made a Video of Lucy!

Thanks for the comments, all! I had a lot of fun filming it, the choice to go B&W was a last minute decision because I couldn't get the color the way I wanted in 2 clips. I thought it worked out well. :) My girlfriend got me a GoPro Hero3 recently, so that's what got me started into this...

    Made a Video of Lucy!

Monday night is one of my 2 band practice nights every week, so I thought I'd do a little video featuring the Dart on my commute. What do you think? Band Practice: A Film Of My 1968 Dodge Dart - YouTube

    Wiper blade refills for A-body?

Hmm, I was actually about to suggest the local auto parts stores. I know my local Pep Boys keeps a few pairs in stock; I've never had to have them order them in.

    Think this is worth $4k??

Haha, exactly what I thought. COnsidering there's a running, driving, clean /6 Feather Duster on my CL right now for only a little more than this, I was shocked.

    Any 67-up A-body wagons stateside?

I know Mopar didn't build the 67-and up cars in wagon form for the US market, though that was very much a thing "Down Under". My question is, does anybody know of or have a VE Val wagon on FABO? Or if not an Aussie-market one, have there been any built out of US cars? This is what I'm looking...

Mopar Engines ~ "Combinations That Should Have Been Made Available"

Am I the only one who wishes Mopar woulda made the Hyperpack kit an factory option for A-bodies through '69? That and a 4-speed, maybe make it the LS package (Lite Sport)...that woulda been a fun car. :)

1960 NASCAR Compact Car Race at Daytona

Hmm good thought, valiantpatrol. I think the next step is making contact with somebody. My best friend suggested getting ahold of somebody who works with CBS' archives, but NASCAR is a pretty good idea as well.

1960 NASCAR Compact Car Race at Daytona

Thanks, Keith. Actualy, I have actually seen that website, lot of cool pics and such on there. I used that on this morning's blog post. But what I'm really interested in is finding the old race footage from it. It was supposedly televised, and I for the life of me can't find it anywhere...
