What trans. is it, the 518? Does it slip in all gears? Fliud smell burned? I know in some models they have a pressure switch and governor pressure solenoid that is a common issue.

I would just go pick up some steel or aluminum strips and make my own mount that is mounted solid. I have seen a few of those work loose over time and rub throught the radiator tubes.

I would think you probably just knocked the tension spring off the seal when you installed the yoke. I would pop a new seal in but before you do put a little petroleum jelly or trans. assy. gel around the tension spring. Sometimes they just catch and flip off the lip of the seal.

Even a completely stock vehicle would benefit from a shift kit in my opinion. It's not just for race applications and can also benefit the longevity of the transmission and its internal components.

I would go cheaper and just gear it if the trans., etc. seems to be solid. Might be kinda difficult to find the ratio you want if doing the junkyard crawl since most D60's seem to come with the 4.?? gears for towing. New of course you have tons of options. The trans. would be the best overall...

The TF2 shift kit can be set up for different levels of shift firmness. If you leave the 1-2 ball out and don't drill the plate then you will get the firmest shift possible. Is the SD a thicker cable? Did you happen to see any difference how the inside cable attaches to the ends between the two?

That sucks. Mine snapped right at the crimped end at the trans. Everything installed perfect and only a few years old. Im pretty pissed the warranty doesn't cover the cable.

PB to PB yes they do.

I would go with grade 8. Todays chinese grade 5 bolts are more like an old U.S. grade 1.
