I used the purple gun to shoot some PPG primer in my engine bay with no problem. Don't recall the size tip. It was just the cheap $15 gun.

I agree. Patience with a stud gun puller would be the way to go. Besides, if you replace the section of panel, you're still going to have to use body filler to make it paint perfect.

I think a touch up with Duplicolor's chrome spray is the cheapest and best you can hope for. There really is no fix, except to have a bumper shop repair and rechrome. Sorry...

For what it's worth, I would not expect a "nice and straight" job for only $400. If it sounds too good to be true, .... My 2 cents.

X2. Undercoat is for under the car. Sound deadener pads, Dynamat, stuff like that for the inside.

Very hot water should safely melt it away.

The only reason I'd repair that fender is if I was on a deserted island with no chance to replace it. That one looks nasty! It would be safer, in the long run, to find a good used panel to replace it with. Deep rust can erupt again.

I used good two stage paint (PPG) with a cheap Harbor Freight paint gun and small compressor. Didn't turn out perfect, but turned out pretty damn good! Its all in the prep!!!
