No Fuel Pressure after driving car.

I attached a photo above and it is definitely on bottom of tank. I probably need to get some fuel in carb bowls and maybe some in fuel filter then run it and hopefully it will prime. My current fuel line setup

The 3/8 sending unit without return arrived today and looks like it will work nice. I plan to use the original lock ring. Install will have to wait until after Carlisle.

    New fuel sending unit help.

I figured it was a return. I have no plans going electric anytime soon. I have a photo in my mentioned thread above of the sock on bottom of tank.

Who sells a 3/8 fuel sending unit with no return line?

I plan to order one also. Glad I found this thread as my 70 Duster 340 did not have this vent/return line and seems most places sell one with it.

No Fuel Pressure after driving car.

New 3/8th sending unit arrived. Fits in tank nice. After doing a search on FABO I found a place that has a no vent/return style so I will be sending this back to summit. $10 lost in shipping I suppose and another week car being down.

    New fuel sending unit help.

I am also replacing my tank on my 1970 Duster (No Fuel Pressure after driving car.) I also decided to go 3/8 line for future motor build. I think we are limited on sending units for 3/8 lines without vent tube. Mine was listed 67-74 A-Body and the vent I assume is for 72 and up. If anyone knows...

No Fuel Pressure after driving car.

Also here are some photos of the inside of the original tank. It dried overnight. Lots of stuff in the tank and unfortunately some of it was from when I had the car in highschool in early 90s in body shop. Some of the stoners were jealous of the car and dumped what was from dust pan into tank...

Yes I Just installed the new 3/8th stainless line about 30 min ago. Having the hoist made this job easy to do.

No Fuel Pressure after driving car.

Update to my fuel pressure issue. I did some testing today and drove the car a short distance and had no problem today. But with the new tank and 3/8 line sitting in the box I decided to get after removing the tank. Back up on Hoist I had tank out in 30 Min. It is full of trash and pickup is...

No Fuel Pressure after driving car.

I have thought about that also. But intermittently? This no fuel pressure issue was only after driving for a mile or so.

No Fuel Pressure after driving car.

Thanks for that information. I received my tank and lines today from year one and will install them next month. I will make sure the vent line is blown out good that runs next to filler neck.

No Fuel Pressure after driving car.

I will keep that in mind. What would cause a venting issue? The gas cap is a challenger style flip it is a 1970 non ecs tank.

No Fuel Pressure after driving car.

I haven't been able to get it to drop. It only dropped to zero when out driving it. I let it idle the other day at 1000 rpm for 30 mins and drove it up and down my long driveway and back to my shop and no issues.

No Fuel Pressure after driving car.

It was longer then 10 minutes. Fuel line has been that way for many years and never had this problem. Being that it is original tank and lines I ordered a new tank and 3/8 line. Hopefully this will resolve this issue.

It is coming apart for sure. I plan to replace the tank and lines and rubber lines. It has a carter strip mechanical pump around 2 years old. I have a regulator on it set at 5psi.

No Fuel Pressure after driving car.

I finally got my 1970 Duster 340 back on the road after installing a rebuilt 727. I was out testing the thing and 2 times it left me with no fuel pressure after a short ride. I am thinking fuel sock. I get it back in my shop and it will idle for 30 min at 5psi the next day.
