    Very impressed with gas mileage

Not sure if everyone tuned into his statement that he did a fair amount of "drifting" going down long mountain passes. Not saying it's cheating at all, but it does skew things a bit from how MPG might normally be tested. I personally test my average fuel mileage everyday on my 2010 commuter...

1970 Tony Pony minibike.....Chrysler engine from factory

Me too. This CAT ~ DUSTER on Ebay has had my eye for months now. I have an old disassembled CAT minibike similar to this one out back. This Ebay one is expensive and he doesn't ship, unless you would call a truck to come get it, as you would a motorcycle shipper. Vintage Mini Bike, Cat...

That is one badass minibike! Looks like a real functional swingarm and a jackshaft! I wonder if it was street legal?

Dodge unveils last super-fast gasoline muscle car, Challenger SRT Demon 170

I have a feeling that's what every buyer will do with these 170s, store them and sit on them. It might work, but in the old days, nobody used to do that with their cars, maybe that's why barn finds of old cars now are so intriguing. Imagine seeing hundreds of new 170s in 30 or 40 years from now.

    Your first car upgrades? (Electrical/Mechanical)

Assuming that the fuel system and brakes have gotten up to snuff, my next pet peeve is funky electrical. Old cars that have spent time parked with wet carpets over the years probably have corrosion issues on various electrical components in the interior. Here is a non-mopar project that I put...

Amazing deal on those wheels and only 11.1 lbs.! Wow! I wonder what "HK" stands for? LOL

what in the sam hill do these do? Power stacks?

I'll bet the occupants got a nice steady dose of exhaust coming in through the cowl/vents too. "I'm getting sleepy!!"

what in the sam hill do these do? Power stacks?

Wonder how many people installed them, got on the freeway and proceeded to burn up their underhood insulation and/or hood paint!

Does you car bring out the worst in other drivers, or is it just me?

I had a lot of problems like this when I drove my SRT-4. It's like at every red light, people were staging next to me!.....plus doing the loudass pass/cutoff thing, barely missing my front end. THEN....if I blew them away from the green light, and I considered the race over, they'd have to...

    '67 Valiant 2-door Hardtop

There's some amazing things going on there! How'd they make it a hardtop?! Cut custom quarter glass and then use the dart 2-door hardtop doors? I'm also eyeing the rear wheelwells....I guess those are the same as all the others. They appear fuller. And is that a '68 front side marker light...

whats everyone doing for car batteries these days??

All I buy now are Delcos. I can't handle leakers that destroy everything around them (that means you, Interstate). The Napas seem decent too, but the Delcos aren't too much extra $$, so that's what I will buy from now on. I cleaned this battery spotless about 3 months ago.

??? "STEEL PISTONS" ??? This is some wild stuff!!

The Detroit Series 50 CNG and Cummins ISL-G and L9-N CNG engines have been using steel pistons for years. Could not keep the aluminum pistons from cracking. Definitely not with those skirt lengths though!

    NEVER put a 750 on a 318........

Yes, those 715 cfm "Lemans" vacuum secondary carbs may not have been optimal, but the fact that they're vacuum and not a DP kept things civilized. What is the cfm rating on the ol' 1987 318 Dodge diplomats' quadrajets? Or how does 1350 cfm on a 440 6-pack's trio of Holleys work? It just DOES!

    Thermoquad vs holley vs q-jets

The only way I'd suggest a Holley is if you don't give a care about economy whatsoever. I love spreadbore carbs. I'm also not a fan of Holleys because of the floatbowl/accelerator pump leakage issue if your car sets up for a while (it sure happens to my Holley equipped car often). *I'd run...

What cars did you pass on buying in the 60s/70s because they cost too much

'70 Hemi charger for $3500 - no drivetrain but pretty clean. (1988) '70 AAR cuda, red with a 4-speed (no console) and the standard gauges, not rally gauges. Mint, for $5500. Pomona Swapmeet 1988 '69 Hemi roadrunner for $3500, column automatic, burgundy with dog dishes and mint 1979...

    Saw this 68 340 4 speed

And my experience with notch vinyl top cars is.....watch out!! It could get ugly around the rear glass once you rip off that top. Maybe easily worse than many other models with vinyls for sure.
