Next Phase of my Mopar Life

Great looking car! And those under-dash A/C ducts look nicer than the usual ones I always see.

1969 Race Dart w/ 426 Hemi- garaged for 45+ years

I can't imagine a more drool-worthy barn-find!! That odometer!! That shifter! And the proper A100 seats! What's odd is......was this not raced much at all, or is the speedo cable disconnected?

    Slant Six Roadster Build

I've always loved the idea of an inline 6 roadster, ever since I built this model as a kid:

Very nice, Miss Rani!......if those welds are by your hands, I'm impressed! Count me in as a lover of yellow cars too. Keep it up and hitting it hard!

The "Black Menace" is pretty forlorn, LOL

Wowww!! Excellent!......very cool, D/273! What was the media that they used? Was it sand or plastic or walnut shells or? Do you know how you're going to attack that rocker panel yet? At least there's nearly no rust.

    1967 383 Formula-s

Wow, nice......you're really goin' to town on it! When I saw this pic, I thought this is the car that shoulda been in "Bullitt" instead of that mustwang! Looks rough and ready!

    M Code Notch

It's strange (to me) to think of such a rare car that isn't going to be restored back to stock, in this day and age. Not that it really bugs me, I just find it to be a trip.....you damn near need to sell one of your cars just to buy the exhaust manifolds! BTW, great find and I like the overall...

Resurrecting/remotivating my '69 Dart project from garage solitary

No, not yet.....I started installing the new timing chain on the blue '68, so I've been a little stretched thin on time. Probably within 2 weeks I will though. Hey, I should do those subframe connectors, but......I'm thinking it would probably be overkill. I'll hafta think about that.....and...

California daylight savings time = gets dark around 5pm = mucho man-cave time. Sutton still has my 8 3/4" rear (narrowing a B-body housing and altering spring perches) but I'm getting things ready for when it arrives.

THAT.........is a crazy awesome score! Oh my gawd, that's almost like finding a chest of gold at the bottom of the ocean. *high fives* Way to go! *BTW, green rules*

    Just another Dart....

And another stray gets snatched up......

Here's how the engine's been sitting for the past 3 or so years. Dude installed a brand new Summit dual plane intake. Sure hope he put a little silicone down around the ends. Kinda cool but now I have to figure out the kickdown linkage for the trans. (P.I.T.A.) And the factory aluminum...

Resurrecting/remotivating my '69 Dart project from garage solitary

Finally got my offset rear leaf spring shackle kit. I dunno if any of ya'll have had a problem with Summit Racing's online catalog saying that the parts "ship tomorrow" only to find out that they're backordered to eternity!! I waited a month for them!....only to find out they really...

And another stray gets snatched up......

Oh my gawd.....I put 2 sets of vise-grips on that 4-inch long piece of snapped off bolt and it came right out like cake!! LOL Well, the guy I bought the car from admitted that he was pretty much a sheetmetal guy, not so much a mechanic. Ha Ha!!......I hear ya, CC and hey, thanks! I just...

And another stray gets snatched up......

First thing to do is put the engine back together, which means extracting that broken bolt from the block and reinstalling the water pump, radiator and carburetor. Then it'll be putting in the carpet and seats. Yes, Miss Rani......SBP rallys and 4-wheel manual drums. No front sway bar, but...

And another stray gets snatched up......

Not that I needed it exactly, but I have been on the hunt for a (somewhat) virgin '68 Dart 2-door hardtop. This one popped up on Craigslist with my name all over it from beautiful downtown San Bernadino. The lady owner was supposed to be having it restored by her husband, but after he snapped...

Still been workin' on it....a little bit per day. Gas tank's done. Got a set of these coming in the mail as well, for the offset rear end that's going in. Like that shorty homemade seal puller? It's a cut-down Pep Boys dent puller.

Resurrecting/remotivating my '69 Dart project from garage solitary

Wait about another 6 or 8 years.....LOL And plus, I realized I've bought tires for some of my other old cars, just to watch them start to weather crack over time probably without even 500 miles on 'em. Total waste.....totally dumb. I'm a slow learner......can't spread your money and time too...

Resurrecting/remotivating my '69 Dart project from garage solitary

Thanks, Captain! I'm determined to be move forward, if even at a snail's pace! Today....just a bit of trimming and straightening of the 4-speed hump. I've got about a 1/2" tear that I'll be welding up tomorrow, then cleaning it up a bit more and Rustoleum-ing it.
