    Painting the Dart

If it was my car... I would paint the hood, scoops and roof area to the trim silver or a nice grey that goes well with the main color then take the 340 stickers off the quarter panels. Leave the rest alone other than maybe treating the quarter rust with something to slow it down. Maybe use the...

    1972 Dart front bumper, Repro?

1st, I'm jealous! The bumper was probably made in Canada. The Darts were all built at the Windsor plant in Canada. I bet its a rechrome or an NOS bumper. I was just looking for a front bumper for my late 71. It has the slots. Can't find a repro available anywhere. Only 70-71 non-slots.

    Dart quarter windows

I do not believe so. I have a friend that has a 318 70 Barracuda with stationary quarter windows from the factory. Had no idea that was a thing.

69 Dart GT Quarter Window Help

I am in the middle of doing this right now. It looks as though the tracks are installed AFTER the regulator and glass have been installed. 1. Regulator 2. Glass assembly 3. Unbolt regulator and attach rear reg roller to its slot (FYI rear reg arm roller shares space with the rear channel guide...

    1971-1976 2 dr scamp sedan windshield/back glass

The Scamp was just a 2dr Hardtop Dart with a Duster front end. Search for 1970 Dart Hardtop. 1971up will confuse things with the sportback/fastback Demon.

Anyone ever try making a Duster a hardtop?

Don't the windows roll down in the 71up Sebring/roadrunner? THey look like a similiar shape. Maybe the mechanicals would work IF you can devise a way to mount the glass.

A little modern style on classic iron

DITTO They need to be wider and up to the scoop somehow. Actually since you went this far, I would Paint 2 solid stripes from the edge of the hood going under the scoops up front. It would look like they went through the scoops and out the sides of the scoop. I can picture that.

What engine compartment color do you think?

Well, since your going to do the body black I would suggest a Blue OR Red Interior to break it up. Black with a Red gut looks killer to me. Also saw a Black 70 Charger with a blue interior in a magazine and thought it was cool as hell!

    Shaved Drip Rail?

Couldn't a strip of metal be welded at the seam from the underside first then grind off the drip rail. I would think that would save the headache of alignment problems.

    Rim paint?????

I used the Mopar rally paint and it looks exact to me. When set next to an original one I have its damn close if not the same. That Mopar paint sprays and covers really nice too. FYI.... IF you want to look stock for your 71 you need to lose the 72up style caps. Just an observation...
