    Just curious, do you have a gauge or an idiot light? If you have a gauge and the sender for an idiot light and visa versa that may present a problem.

    Should be a gray wire exiting the firewall. Do you have the rest of the harness? Also, are you running an MSD?

    Yes that's correct, just the basic harness. I have a 68 GTS Bigblock car with the console tach. Inadequate to remove the wires from the old harness. The tech helped me with that. Had to do the same with the heater control wires.

    If you have an MSD 6A or 6AL you can use the white wire for a kill switch.
