I used the advice I got on here, glad to say i think with your help I got it worked out. It seemed to start like it should today, will give it a couple of more days to see how it acts, don't really drive it much as with good weather I ride my bike.

I was able to work on it today, no smoke from the carb, set the gap to .008 in the dist. and set the timing and it seems to be starting like it should.

It is a 318 with electronic ignition. It starts great when cold, but after I drive it a bit, it is very hard to start. Did a tun up last summer, and that seemed to help. The car sit all winter into early spring. Brought it home last Monday, and everything seemed fine. But it atarted doing it...

I like it. I almost went with that wing on my 66 Dart. It's no worst than seeing a Chevy hood scoop on a Mopar.. The rule is, it's his car and he can do what he wants with it. But I would have to agree with the skulls, they would need to go.

You guys sure have some sweet 66 Darts.. I think when I first came on this site I had the only 66 Dart.. Sure glad to see more enjoying them as i have mine for the last 14 1/2 years.. Just hope some day mine will liook as nice as the ones on here

Yeah saw the price on those, pretty spendy and yeah the cost of the starter.. May have to look into the Hookers and see what they have.. I have time as it will be awhile before I do that.

Can't help you out as I have the pistol grip in my 66.. But I believe it is a oval shape ring and boot for 66.

I believe the Dart is a 66 and was Dick Landy's... I don't remember those but do remember the Stingrays.

Never heard of a GTS in 66 but I do believe they had what was called the D-Dart. Might want to check into that.. Oh yeah Welcome to here
