My question is. Will a 68-69 gas tank fit in a 67? I know 67 have the single strap, but most of these aftermarket tanks have that strap in dented in the aftermarket tank. They are made to be universal. Is there anything else different on the 68-69 to the 67 tank TGhanks

There is the difference in the tanks. The trunk floor is different in 68 -69 than 70 to 76. If you use a 68 - 69 tank in a 70 and up it goes in so hard it buckles the trunk for seal and put pressure against your quarter panel. See the different location in the filler tube hole in the tanks. here...

Sorry you have a 70 California emission tank so that is a 70 71 tank. You have to use the 72 tank plug the nipple. Then get a 70 none Cali filler tube with the vent line on it and a gas gap from 68 to 70

No one makes a 70 gas tank. You will have order a 72 and plug the nipple. they say 68 to 70 are the same but they are not, only 68 and 69 are.

Exactly! I am going to try it as a added vent up into the frame rail to help the nascar pump I am using. See how that works 2nd will be to use it as a return line

68 69 tanks are different form 70. 68 69 the filler tube is more towards the front of the car.

To be honest the thing that I remember is a gallon of gas in like 15 to 17 seconds. This why I am asking recommendations. I just do not want to here the pump. Maybe the one in the tank, tanks inc I will look into this.
